The worst experience we've ever lived in a hotel.

We are used to travel a lot. But the Christian IV hotel in Copenhagen must be the worst place to stay that I’ve ever seen. You’d better be prepared to a room way too small and badly isolated for the expensive price you pay, a bathroom so uncomfortable you would feel like in a dormitory of a summer camp, without forgetting the smell of moisture all around. On top of that, the hotel is unable to manage the security of its own Booking account. We’ve been scammed and have lost more than 1200€. Not a single solution has been offered except denying that it was there fault. We’ll definitely not come back and we advise you to find another hotel in Copenhagen than this hellhole. There are far well better places enough.

We had a very pleasant stay here recently. Friendly staff, always helpful. We were allowed into the room even though we arrived a couple of hours before check-in time. They lent us a plug adapter to use as we had forgotten to bring ours. The area is quiet but close to a large park and lots of restaurants are a short walk away. The room was a good size with a huge bed and good shower, also cable TV. Overall good value for money in expensive Copenhagen. Only minus was the WiFi is not password protected so did not use...

My daughter and I stayed for three days to attend a concert. Everything was perfect, and so was the hotel. The staff is very friendly, and the room is spacious and clean. The possibility of using the luggage room was appreciated. it is pleasant to return to the hotel when it is very cold and receive a cuddle with tea and biscuits.

This is a great small hotel in a central place of Copenhagen. Staff are really friendly and will assist you in whatever way they can and all speak English which is a plus. I did not try the breakfast as this was a little expensive but there are plenty of places to explore for eating out. It is very convenient for the Kongens Metro which takes you to other places like Airport and Sweden on the train. Its also just great for exploring the City itself. So its recommended.

On arrival we had a swift check-in process and staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. Complimentary tea and coffee (good variety!) were provided in the lobby area, and during the hours of 5-7 there was a complimentary glass of wine (red/white). Lobby area was large, clean and tidy with plenty of seating (incl. tables and sofas). Rooms are of a good size, large with double bed and sofa. Beds in the room were comfortable (soft) and consisted of two single beds together - with single pillow and duvet each. We were unaware of works being conducted outside the hotel, which did cause some noise disruption on the mornings of our stay. Due to the our room being ‘damp’ (large amounts around bedroom windows & some on bathroom ceiling) and having musky smell, we kept the window slightly open - which then heightened this noise level. Would have been nice to receive correspondence on these works from the hotel prior to the stay. Also had issue with the flush on the toilet - no comment on this was made as sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t! Area of this hotel was perfect, walkable distance to the centre, also had a metro station close.
