Wonderful Central Rome Hotel - Charming, well run & great staff !

We spent 4 nights at the Barocco for my wife's birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great location off a quiet side street - within walking distance of most things. Small but charming and very well run hotel. Delicious a la carte breakfasts - made very special by the charismatic Stefano! All the staff were very customer focussed -helping make sure we made the most of Rome - making suggestions, booking tour tickets and restaurants. Big shout out to Valerio and Lisa on the front desk.

We had an amazing stay at Hotel Barocco. This is a small boutique hotel but has so many cute and comfy sitting areas. The breakfast was excellent. Our room was beautiful and super comfortable! We did reserve a junior suite in order to have a larger room. We were on the second floor and I was concerned about noise, but every room has double windows so we didn’t hear anything from the street. The bed was very comfortable. We asked for feather pillows and they were brought to our room instantly. The towels were luxurious and super soft. Large walking closet and a big bathroom. The staff is amazing. Very accommodating and so incredibly friendly and nice. The hotel totally exceeded my expectations! I totally recommend it and we’ll stay there again next time we’re in Rome.

The hotel is small and intimate but beautiful. Great service! Helpful front desk staff and housekeeping. Delicious breakfast! Centrally located and easy to walk to most everything you’ll want to see in Rome. Small but well-appointed room with a very comfortable bed. Quiet and charming. Beautiful marble bathroom. Air conditioning that you can adjust, which is important on a hot day. I loved this hotel. I definitely will return. The staff, especially Marco, made us feel welcome.

Our second visit to Hotel Barocco, returning after our stay in 2023. Always a risk when you come back that things will have changed and not be as nice as you remember, but it fully lived up to our expectations and another fabulous stay. The staff here are just brilliant, huge thanks to Gianluca who is the best bartender bar none...great wine recommendations and amazing cocktail creations customised to our taste. Also thanks to Marco for picking up the reins in Gianluca's absence and following those drink recipes to a tee! And of course Stefano and Elizabetta for their humour, courtesy and faultless dining service, delicious food and great coffee. All the staff here are attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We were given the same beautiful room as last year, clean, comfortable beds, everything immaculate. I would come back again in a heartbeat :)

What a gem this is! Make no mistake, there is no fitness, wellness or garden but just like Hotel 41 in Londen this place is all about service and to create a peaceful retreat in the city. It succeeds in doing that in a great manor. That will already start after booking with excellent recommendations, tips and info from the ladies who actually work at the hotel and who you will meet after arriving. Very personal as opposed to big chain hotels. It’s hard to explain the feeling you get but you feel welcome and at ease. They will arrange anything for you with the staff being the greatest asset (as it always is in hotels, employers should never forget this). Had a great ancient Rome tour with an excellent guide. Still enjoying our stay with our family of 5 and really the only thing we “miss” would be a terrace or small garden to enjoy the beautiful weather for an afternoon drink but hey, just go out and find it in the city. Great location and the most wonderful rooms as well, keep up the good work.
