From the moment that we arrived at Homewood Suites May 6, 2024 we were impressed by the spacious appearance and cleanliness of the facility also by the courtesy and helpfulness of the staff. We wish to give a special shout out to Daniel S. in valet, and Antonio-AJ and Nettie at the front desk. We also appreciated the great breakfast. We hope to visit again.

So... I wanted to love this property but I am disappointed. We are HUGE Hilton people across the board and stay in many of their brands. I chose this location in Atlanta after many people told me to stay midtown. It was one of the more reasonable properties and also had free breakfast which is also a big plus. And it had enough beds that my kids didn't have to share - these spoiled kids hate sharing so having 2 queen beds and a sofa bed was perfect. So... things started off well. I called to inquire about early check in the day before because we were landing at 9 am. They weren't sold out and said we should be fine to check in for the fee. They made notes on my account and assigned us a room. We arrived and were able to check in. The front desk woman was very nice and helpful. They put us on the top floor in room 1219. I was thrilled to be able to get in early. At first I was upset when I saw our room location - directly off the elevator. But it wasn't noisy so it turned out ok this time. We never heard anyone. However... when we walked in, the room kind of smelled like poo a bit. I did my normal OCD wipe down with lysol wipes. Checked bed bugs etc. That was fine. Room appeared clean. Very bland and basic but fine. The balcony was a nice surprise. Later on... we discovered that the bathroom sink doesn't run hot/cold well. you really needed to play with the faucet to get a good temp. It was either scalding or cold. You also had to over-turn the cold faucet to turn it off. Same with the shower - you had to over-turn it or else it would still run. No temp problems with the shower though. The toilet - we had to keep jiggling the handle to make sure it stopped running. So the plumbing seems very shoddy here. I went to use a plate and knife in the kitchen and the knives were put away with gunk on them. I washed them with the provided dish soap. But that was kind of gross. We also were only provided with 2 sets of towels and there were 4 of us. We had to go to the front desk to get more... and I said we needed a few more and they only gave us one more set so we had to go down again to get more. For a suite that sleeps 6... it's weird they only left towels for 2 people. We also aren't a huge fan of using shower gel so we went to ask the front desk for an extra bar of soap that they provide for the bathroom sink. They don't stock any at the desk and said they had to find housekeeping to "see if they had soap." Luckily they scrounged up a few bars... but they definitely told us to go buy a bar of soap because they don't have much. Forget shower use - if we ran out for our hands I wonder if they would have any! I also asked twice for garbage bags so we could switch the garbage and they finally brought some. Very nice housekeeping staff but they are slower and don't seem to have enough stuff. The internet was a HUGE issue in our room. None of us could get connected at all. I went to the front desk. I was given a promo code to try and then they also told us that if we connect in the lobby we should have no problem continuing use upstairs. But... we did. That was a problem as I had to do some work. We used our cell phones as hot spots because we didn't want to go downstairs and sit in the lobby. The room was very sizable and comfortable though. The 4 of us had ample space without tripping over each other. Breakfast was fine. There were eggs every day and then either sausage (pork & chicken) or bacon on alternating days. Always granola bars... some yogurt. Some cold cereals.. we had grits one day, oatmeal another and a 3rd must be some southern thing ... beans?? I wish they always just had grits or oatmeal. You could make a waffle... there were breads for toasting and muffins and then potatoes. Enough for us to make due and fill bellies. The weight room is actually really nice. So is the pool area (outdoor). The location was ok. Lots of construction around... didn't bother us but made it harder for Ubers to grab us. We walked to the Center for Puppetry arts... about 15 minutes. There is a Publix less than 2 minutes away to grab supplies. All in all... our stay was clean and comfortable but the small details made it a little annoying and not up to the standard of other Hilton properties we have stayed in. We would stay again, but maybe we would bring soap and also stay on a lower level floor... maybe the internet would be better.

We had a great stay at the Homewood suites. The rooms were clean and large, the breakfast was hot and yummy and the staff was friendly. The check in process was easy and smooth. I loved how the rooms had balconies. When going back to Atlanta we would stay there again.

From check in to check out everything was wonderful. Sweet Mrs. Jennifer G. was the most hospitable during breakfast. She took very good care of my family's needs (and wants). (Don't miss her waffles!!) Excellent customer service from Ms. Nakave. All other staff members met during this stay were very kind and courteous, too. Very nice kept rooms. Clean and refreshing. Great view. I would love to bring my family back to stay here again.
