Stayed for 1 night with my daughter as we were seeing s club at the utilita arena (NIA). Upon arrival they gave my daughter a mini welcome pack/bag with sweets and a activity book which was a nice touch. The room was adequate for 1 night but I don't think I could stop for more than 1 night as the room was quite bare (No proper clothes storage, minimal tea and coffee facilities, and no mini fridge) Additionally the bathroom was quite small as it was a shower room and the sink plug was quite temperamental as well. We didn't bother reporting it as when it played up it was past midnight. It did manage to drain water though by the morning. The free breakfast was everything you needed. My daughter particularly liked the make your own pancake station!

As a 'room for the night' close to New St Station it was light clean and airy, staff were very cheerful and polite. Bedroom though 'compact' in size did not feel crowded, very well designed and fitted out; Good sized shower and all-in-all a very pleasant stay. Food is not the intention of the experience, as I guess the majority of guests eat out in the evenings and only want a quick bite at breakfast. Thank you to all of the staff.

To Hot to sleep and some.. Very Rude staff.

As previous reviews by others that have stated, the aircon does not work, and the staff are lying that they can change it. ( Ihint..I'm an engineer). = bad sleep. Second issue is that I was asked not to come back to the hotel after a member of front of house said I was rude and abusive after he asked how I would pay for drinks whilst clearly showing a bank card and IHG don't take cash anyway. He followed me outside whilst i had a cigarette at about 5.00pm, and l slated me for being rude and aggressive like I had been all afternoon!!!! Considering I only checked in 45 minutes prior to this, I don't understand his comments. They have no general manager at this moment and it seems the staff can be as rude as they like. Most staff are pleasant, may I add. Although after 56 IHG stays this year so far, I was also not asked upon checking inn if I wanted points or drink or if to open an account on my room, this because the rules had changed the day before which is all lies. On the outside the people that visit for a night out etc, it's a good place but for myself this place is horrible. They need a manager soon....

Good location, very close to New Street and Utilia Arena. Hotel staff friendly. Sean at breakfast was very entertaining and it made our ‘Take That’ experience great. Room was very clean, fantastic shower. Hotel price was a little expensive at £180 for the night but we wanted to be close to the arena.
