From the minute we checked into Maria’s Guest House we felt comfortable & @ home. Maria is a really lovely genuine Lady so helpful.. Our room was perfect every thing we needed & if you’d forgotten something Maria had a basket of different items to use …. Breakfast was super everything from yogurt various fruits lots of cold meats & cheese that’s without a cupboard full of various cereals THEN the delicious bakery items honestly it was FABULOUS… If you were hungry during the day & you could make yourself a snack, Maria encourages you to take some water when you go out for the day .. the best hospitality we have ever encountered… We hope to return one day … THANKYOU again Maria

This hotel is an absolute gem. Very nice accommodations, excellent location and Maria could not have been a better host. The price was very reasonable given the location, breakfast, snacks and water/coffee included. I would gladly stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Couldn’t have been happier!

A gem of a guest house

Clean, comfortable and within easy walking distance of Rome Termini, the Metro, the Colosseum, and several major sites, this small guest house is a gem. Maria is a wonderful host and a delightful person. The kitchen, with breakfast and snack foods, was open all day, so it was easy to grab a water and small snack to take on our walks through Rome. Although it is on a major thoroughfare, it was not noisy. As others have said, there are several flights of stairs to climb, but there is a small elevator if needed, though you do need to climb some steps to reach it. We would definitely stay here again!

Maria and family are fantastic hosts and made me feel completely at home in their guest house. It is on the 4th floor of a building on a main Street (Via Cavour) and I didn't encounter much noise. Room and bathroom are clean, modern and comfortable. Everything worked. I liked the well-stacked shared kitchen which we were free to use anytime of the day to make breakfast, a coffee or a snack. Plenty of good options for local restaurants (just walk into the smaller streets of Monti and you'll find lots to eat and skip the tourist traps), Conad supermarket, Colosseo and Cavour (line B) metro stations just 5 min walk away, and ancient Rome attractions just down the street as well. The location is just unbeatable. Keep in mind this is a small family-operated guest house, so keep them (by phone if able) updated with check-in and check-out arrangements as it is not guaranteed to be someone present on site to open the front door unless you pre-arrange it. Thanks to Maria and Valerio for a great stay. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Roma.

Everything about this Guest House was perfect, ie. extremely clean, genuinely friendly (Maria was a jewel), great selection of items for brunch, complete security, location (within a few blocks to most of the major attractions); great selection of eateries; and unbelievable shopping. We've been to Rome several times and I wish we would have known about this Guest House then. Now that we do, we will definitely stay there.
