Lovely hotel! Great location, easy to get around for all your sight seeing! Bar was well stocked and had lovely cocktails. Found the rooms comfy and spacious. The breakfast was plentiful and enjoyed by all of us! Would go back when we next visit Barcelona!

Great stay but minor room niggles

Positives are the nice, safe location, about 5 minutes walk from several metro stops (Urquinaona, Catalunya, Passeig de Gràcia were the most useful). Building and lobby look lovely. Beds were huge and really comfortable. Bathrooms looked good and nice toiletries. Rooms were well cleaned and everything felt reasonably new. The best part was the rooftop terrace. The small pool was too cold and the bar up there wasn’t open as it was April but it was amazing having somewhere to lie in the sun for an hour after a tiring day. Pool towels were provided. I imagine it would be even better when it gets to the summer months! A few negatives though. The room let the hotel down a little bit. Bathroom smelled damp as soon as we walked in (and every time we came back). Became nose blind very quickly to it but it’s not a nice first impression. Almost no sockets in the room which was infuriating - could only find one in room and one in bathroom. Decor isn’t amazing, a bit basic, mainly the overall feel / bare walls - it’s quite minimalist and clean but feels more like a partitioned bland office. Door to Juliette balcony only opens about 2 inches which is a shame. No mirror on or above desk/dressing table area so need to do make up in bathroom. Difficult after a shower as ends up completely steamed up. Same problem with mirror and sockets for a hairdryer. Area is quite quiet but only 5/10 minutes walk from Plaça de Catalunya and the top of La Rambla. Two fab nearby restaurants we went to were Luigi’s and Patagonia Beef and Wine. Highly recommend Bobby’s Free bar nearby - so fun! Overall would definitely recommend but would be much better if they’d improve the minor (but important) room issues.

Fantastic hotel

This hotel was fantastic, spotlessly clean, staff were so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing with lots of choice. Taxis readily available just outside the hotel, 24hour supermarket across the road for some essentials, 5 minute walk from the hop on hop off Barcelona tour bus. If I went back I’d 100% stay here again.

We travelled for my 60th birthday and was very pleased with the hotel.. the location is good and very central to all major attractions.The room was on the small side but very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, helping us with directions, recommendations and ticket bookings. The roof terrace is a plus albeit wuite small and the bar was not open as it only opens in the summer months , slight warning .. if the roof top pool is very small.. looks big in the photo... but great if you just want to use it for a quick dip to cool off. We booked on bed and breakfast basis and was very impressed with the breakfast... i am a fussy eater but there was pkenty there for me to have... tea, coffee machines, fresh juices.. prosecco...fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cakes, meats and cheeses,.. smoked salmon, american style pancakes, breads and a few hot options.. bacon, fried and scrambled eggs all of these were re-filled regularly. Waiting staff all very efficient. . Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

We chose this hotel via BA Holidays for our 3 night stay as it was said to be within 10 mins of many of the sites of interest. Maybe a bit optimistic - we probably took 15-20 mins to middle of old city, Ramblas etc. Sagrada Familia took us at least 30 mins but we are a couple of seniors! But the hotel met all our expectations and we most valued the rooftop terrace where we enjoyed the unbroken sunshine, especially on the last day when we had a late flight. The small pool was open but unheated and it was March! Bar/cafe closed. Towels available. Our room was nice and quiet on the 6th floor [not facing the busy one-way street]. Recently redecorated, only 1 easy chair plus one sit-up. Free wi-fi and safe. Pity reception had not taken note of our earlier e-mail regarding requirements. Breakfasts were included in our package [but not all visitors had them]. These were a highlight of our stay - although referred to as continental, not sure what else you needed. Wonderful fresh fruit bowls, cereals, wide choice of cold meats & cheeses, plus various options of eggs, bacon, sausages. Rolls & selection of breads. And who can resist the Cava at 8am! Coffee from machines was good, or use the pods. Friendly reception staff and tables cleared promptly. Highly recommend on all accounts.
