Quite Rundown for a 4-star Hotel

Situated a short walk with a bridge in front of the hotel connecting to Lalaport Mall. For a 4-star hotel it is a bit rundown. The swimming is closed until late May. We didn't find the front office staff and security to be friendly like you get at most hotels. We even witnessed a front office staff raised his voice ''I don't care!'' towards 2 Indian guests who reciprocated with ''I don't care too!'' They can check the camera 2nd May 2024 around 5.55pm to investigate this. Quite unprofessional.

26th April 2024 4nights Ok, where do I start.... I guess I'll go with one of the only positives.... great view (although would be better if the windows were actually clean). Room size was nice too... it all goes downhill from there. **Pool was closed for renovations - not once was I advised of this... either when booking or confirming. Yes, I realise it has to be done sometime, however If I'd have known would have booked elsewhere. Probably why they don't mention it. **I booked a Executive Club Suite...... this includes evening drinks and snacks on the Club Floor IN THE EXECUTIVE LOUNGE overlooking the city skyline.... This was also closed !!!!!! Again, no explanation and we were told to sit in the lobby. **Breakfast was also included in my stay - again supposed to be served in Executive Club lounge, which obviously wasn't available. So breakfast was either in lobby with was really rather abysmal choice...... or you could go to the "cafe" which was altogether horrid. Old tiled floor, old tables and chairs, dirty, and noisy, with food that was not kept hot..... and mostly empty servery trays..... I ended up not eating there in the mornings and just grabbing something whilst out. **Shower was disgusting - I don't have mould in my shower at home... I certainly don't expect to have it in a hotel room I've paid for. When I told reception, I was met with indifference.... Oh we'll send someone up. That "someone" never came. **I also advised them of the exhaust fan in bathroom, which the cover was falling off and made an awful noise when on.... again, no one seemed to care. **Curtains did not shut properly.... **In all my years of extensive travelling, I have NEVER stayed in a hotel which could not (or couldn't be bothered) do foreign exchange. On both Saturday and Sunday I was told "No you go to the mall" ((***NOTE THAT NOTHING OPENS UNTIL 1100 AM here - so pretty hard to go and change money if you want to go out somewhere and they aren't open until that late !!!!)) The reason they gave was that finance office wasn't open.... why don't they do what every other hotel does, and organise currency on a Friday for the weekend?? It gets put in a safe in the front office, and accessed when required. (I also know this as I was a Reservations and Sales Manager for a large International hotel chain in Australia for 15 years....... ) All in all the only thing going for this hotel was its location, and the fact I could go over the road to LalaPort Shopping Centre, go in their lovely outdoor mall for good restaurants ! And the short walk to the amazing Berjaya Times Square Shopping Mall which is incredible... I loved Kuala Lumpur and the experiences I had, but the hotel sadly let me down. VERY Disappointing

Disappointing run down place. Not 4 star by a long shot

We booked through Singapore airlines and did not receive any notification of the pool being closed. This was one of our major requirements in selecting a hotel. We only found out during check in. The hotel overall was disappointingly run down, very smelly carpets. One of our rooms had a heavy cigarette smell and the shower and tap were not working in isolation. During a shower the tap kept running and the water drain was very slow. I notified reception and someone came to check but did nothing. For the prices charged, I regret not chosing other reputed hotels but we were misled by the 4 star note on many websites. This hotel is barely a 2* and ruined our holiday experience.

It’s always a pleasure to visit this place. Specifically enjoyed Vegetarian Counter created for the breakfast, probably managed by Saraswati. Breakfast managed well for the guest by Anand in support of Sam, Nazlan, Ika, Ira, Amy. Also appreciate support of reception in getting prompt and better small needs. Special mention of Ben, Anand, Zaine, Wanie.

We stayed here for one night after an exciting holiday in the Far East and this hotel did not stack up to the standard we had experienced on our travels. The décor was tired and not in good condition. I felt the bathroom was very basic and the paintwork, carpet and fixtures seemed old and overused. We had breakfast which offered a range of items but I did not feel comfortable here. Nevertheless KL is a a super city and it was all worth it to see the Petronas Towers!
