We spent a night at The Eletaria Plantation resort a few days back. The place is not for people who are looking for creature comforts like tv and wifi. But if you are interested in spending time surrounded by nature, being woken up by calls of a Crow Pheasant , Malabar grey Hornbills and Racket tailed drongos then this is a perfect place for you. A very beautifully landscaped property with an effort not to interfere with nature. A cardamom plantation in the property and a stream flowing just outside the property make it a perfect getaway from the hustle bustle of a hill station. Staff was extremely courteous and so was the owner who made it a point to meet us before we left and also gifted us a packet of the plantation’s cardamom. Definitely worth a visit

Nature friendly,neat rooms, superb hospitality,well maintained swimming pool,kids friendly atmosphere, complimentary breakfast was good.but only disappointment was the dinner,not worth for that much cost.overall super.had a great day..

A resort inside cardamom plantation

Actually I've visited the property for first time in 17th June 2016. Due to an accident on my way I've been delayed and reached the property by 1900Hrs. Being 22Kms from Kumily-Thekkady Town Junction, the staffs guided me through the entire route. And on arrival, the staffs intimated us to get ready for dinner and the same has been served at 2100Hrs. Also, there was bonfire arranged for another group of guests and they too were friendly with us. And my 2 Kids played and enjoyed a lot with then on Bonfire and even at the time of dinner. On our request the staffs were even ready to teach our kids swimming after dinner. Later due to bad weather conditions its been dropped. But the kids were kept engaged with indoor activities along with staffs till midnight. Early in the morning the above said group and my kids played a lot in the pool. Had stomach filled with the limited Authentic Kerala style menu breakfast. Visited the cardamom plantation and got to know more about it from the staff. We've given an extension of 2Hrs for checkout. Also they've gifted us 3 full ripped jackfruit grown in their own plantation as a token of love towards my kids. Post checkout the staff guided us to visit Rammakkalmetu, a secluded wind mill farms and huge landscape. It was really amazing feel to stay inside a dense Cardamom Plantation. And visited back again in 2019 with friends. And planning again to visit the property with my grownup kids back now. Actually I've visited the property for first time in 17th June 2016. No room service after 10. Very bad breakfast menu. Not at all worth for what you pay. Only positive thing was the nature. Showers not working. No kettle, No TV, No pool, No dental kit. Totally a bad experience

We have booked Eletaria Resort, Thekkady for two nights. The most horrible experience we have ever had. Third class rooms and third class service. Rooms were dirtiest. So many insects in the room and on the bed. (Every room) They changed 3 different category rooms for us within 3 hours of checkin. This not the end, Climax is that at arround 12 o'clock in the midnight, electricity went off and restored in the morning. After waking up we came to know that the Water Solar is not working so we couldn't get hot water for bath. There were only 2-3 staffs were there to manage property. We ask them to call the manager and then their MD and owner of the resort Mr. Jayan Joseph came and we show him the rooms and even he was clueless. We ask him that we can not survive in such dirty place we decided to check out and ask them for refund for one night because we have stayed for one night only. They have clearly refused us for refund and not Mr. Jayan Joseph is not answering the calls even. Very unprofessional behavior of Manager and Owner too. I request everyone to never book this property. Also advise All travel agents to not to give this property to their valuable clients. I am attaching the photographs and audio message for the proof.
