Hotel for party, not relaxation

There were both ups and downs with this hotel. The room was quite nice, comfy bed and working AC but the view was, like for all houses, towards the garden and not the beach. The basin and toilet were brand new, but the floor in the bathroom was need of a remake and there was no hot water. The breakfast was really awesome, the sunbeds and service down by the beach very nice and overall good prices in the restaurant/bar. The staff is friendly and let us have the room some extra hours before our trip home. One big downside was the hotel is lacking some of the services they say that they have. There is no airport transfer, no daily cleaning, NOT family friendly (big parties Friday and Sunday all night long), no trips made available by the hotel. It states that the hotel has yoga and spa treatments and this is untrue. The "yoga-area" is remade into a dance floor and there are no treatments available at all. All in all this is an ok hotel that needs a makeover. It is suitable for people who like to party, and not for people looking for a relaxing hotel.

Loved the food and booze and the vibe, will stay next time

This place is amazing! We were 10 friends, just went there for dinner and drinks. The food and booze was great! They gave us a table that was completely secluded from the rest of the lounge area, just the privacy we wanted. We could here the waves hitting the shore. They gave us speakers and lit up the area some more.

The approach to this property is quite deceiving but its actually a great place in there.!! Its a beach resort, though majority of the cottages don't have the beach view. They serve various kinds of cuisine but North Indian is the best among them esp the kababs and laccha parathas are to die for! it has a beautiful beach and is fairly a quiet place to relax and enjoy. On the whole its a pleasant place to stay.

The place is really isolated - there is no asphalt road to it, also the bungalows are not well maintained. i arrived there with a friend of mine and there weren`t any other guests. Although we decided to cancel our stay there, the hosts returned the sum that was blocked for the payment.

Avoid this place like the plague

Avoid this place like the plague. This is the first review I have ever given for anything ever. I'm really not the complaining type to be honest I'm pretty easy going but I just felt a responsibility to let all travellers know to not stay here. My business partner and I booked for a holiday over Christmas and New Year. We were attracted by the peaceful look of the place and the fact they had yoga and treatments as we were spending our second week at a yoga retreat further down the road. Firstly the place had no yoga and had no treatments - the yoga shala was filled with building works as they were in the middle of building a night club on the beach. Same goes for the 'treatment centre' which was basically just a shack. The building works meant that there was constant banging. Not conducive to relaxation. Our hut looked luxurious from the images and the price meant we thought we would be getting something plush. We had both stayed in the inexpensive beach shacks before but as we wanted comfort we had decided against that option and gone for something much more expensive. Our hut was not made of wood it was cheap plastic veneer on lots of surfaces. The bathroom was really grubby. You can get something almost as good for a fraction of the price in a standard beach shack. The service was a shambles I ordered a juice it took 30 minutes they brought the wrong one, I asked for the right one they brought the wrong one again. I just drank it in the end. The food was also pretty bad. Anyway we had booked with Expedia for 4 nights and we spoke to the manager, explained that the place was not at all what we had been led to expect, there was no yoga and no treatments and the place was a building site. He said that we could get a refund no problem if we wanted to go and stay somewhere else. This was not true he has refused to give us the money back. A short distance away is an amazing hotel called Sur La Mer run by a man who really cares about his guests and invites them to have drinks with him. We went to stay there and it was the same price pretty much but a million times better. One German guest was his first ever guest and he comes back 3-4 times a year he loves it so much. I advise staying there instead. Do not stay at this place. Seriously.
