Amazing vacation experience amidst the refreshingly cool Ooty climate. The farm animals, the adventure activities all were welcomed with curious and gleeful cries from the children. Special mention on the sheep feeding, cow milking, horse grooming-all first time experiences for all of us🥰. Nice fresh calming food, the treks, the play area, the kids special craft and origami activities wooed us parents too😃 Top it off with the clean rooms with no TV , the very pleasant staff, special mention to the very energetic Mr Ainul Haque of the restaurant staff and Ms Radhika of the sheep feeding session. So..Thank you very much Destiny.. we enjoyed a relaxed stay and are returning refreshed. Thank you.

During our recent family trip to Destiny Farmstay in Ooty, we had a great time. The views were amazing, and the place felt very relaxing. Our room was comfortable, and we really enjoyed the food, which was fresh and tasty. We tried lots of activities like horse riding and ziplining, which were fun for both the kids and adults. The staff, especially the manager Sujith and the reception trainee Rakshita, were very friendly and helpful. Overall, our stay at Destiny Farmstay was just what we needed to unwind and have fun as a family. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to enjoy nature and try some new activities.

Room size and ambience are very good. Due to the time of the year we visited, we couldn't experience greener mountains. Perhaps, late august / September could be a better choice. Staff is friendly but looks not much experienced. The person who was put to us as a guide to the property is just couple of months old in the resort and not much aware of the property and its history. His explanations are not up to the mark. They should have better taken care of this aspect. Moreover, many of the events that they told us got cancelled for one or the other reason. Food is of average quality. They can improve upon the same. Lot of flies we could see in the dining hall area where items are kept. Staff was not caring even after informing them about the same. Food options can be increased upon. Especially, no much options in the deserts and also the bakery section items provided during breakfast are very poor quality. Moreover, no deserts found in the breakfast section such as kesari, etc. Juice was getting over in all the meals that we attended well before the closure time and it was not being replenished. Evening snacks looks like name sake with just one bajji variety and tea. At least, couple of varieties can be provided with some biscuits along with tea. The biscuits supplied in the room are not eatable at all. Overall, it is a nice property for awesome views / weather but with better staff and food, this would take us to next level.

Special Mention: Shabharish from Booking/travel desk was very helpful and he had suggested the toy train trip very strongly which we all enjoyed. For Shabharish who went out of the way to suggest a tip which made the whole trip very good (5/5). Booking team : Review : 5/5 Restaurant Review: 2/5 I had visited the property in Jun-Jul 2010 and also now (Apr 2024) . In 2010 due to rain's and had spent most of the time inside the rooms. But the food spread that they had during 2010 and the taste of the food was so good and I had a special review for them then (2010) . They had most of the Kitchen chef and restaurant staff from IHS in 2010. They were very courteous. But during the latest visit I found that the Quality and Quantity of food was not up to the standard. Most of the team members very pretty new. Probably due to attrition they are facing this challenge. They did not have major South Indian items for Alcarte. North Indian items (Kadai Paneer) was not up to the standard. We tried Chinese Stir Fry item which is I can say below standard. Their Thai curry was good. For food which is the most important in any trip where you charge 16K per day for stay and does not provide a decent spread and quality is really not great . Also when we there in Apr 2024 , there was 100 people student team who had come from NPS Indira Nagar. So in the restaurant it was also so very busy and noisy. They did not make alternate arrangements for other guest to have a peaceful Breakfast/Buffett and Dinner. They did not suggest us to have it in the room too. When we asked what is the alternate, they asked us to sit outside the restaurant where it was pretty cold. When we suggested whether we can sit near the Fire Place the restaurant staff (Specially Husband - Wife pair of restaurant staff) mentioned that it was not allowed to sit near the fire place. Irony is all the students who were sitting inside the restaurant went to the fire place and had their dinner and this folks did not have any control. Double standard's in any Resort of this class is not good. Also when we saw the Bill, that we found that few of the items they charged us double but after showing them that they removed the same. Also we ordered for Water for our rooms right from Morning 5AM. We received the water jugs after 3 hours. This is after multiple phone calls. My rating for restaurant food is 2 out of 5. My rating for Service is 2 out of 5. Activity Review: Special Mention (Nishanth) Activity Rating : 5/5 Nishanth who was taking care of activity part for us. Zipline, Farm Visit (Cow and Horses stable visit), Agri Tour etc. He was really good and very polite. Also they had a free horse ride for all of us which was done by folks from Rajasthan. They were really good. Jibin took us to Sun dance trek. He was also good. Fishing activity and Spend time with Sheep. This folks were from Chattisgarh and Uttaranchal. Both of them were very good. So I would rate the activity Part 5 out 5. Resort (Look and feel including rooms) review : 5/5 Destiny resort is inside the Avalanche forest and is beautifully facing the mountains, The Deluxe rooms that we staying was spacious and was having a huge deck. Room's were kept neat and was really spacious including the bathrooms. So we were very happy with the room's and the location. And also the unique experience of going in the Military vehicle to reach the resort from parking lot is a plus. Produce Shop Review: 3/5 Whatever produce we bought from the shop including the vegetable's were really fresh. Jam's we bought were little costly (Carrot and Rhubarb) but was very tasty. But they marketed that strawberries were very sweet and indeed a thing to buy. Stawberries we bought 250Gms from Rs 400/-. But they were very small and was sour and not really up to the standard, hence I had given the rating of 3 out of 5. Other produce like carrot, radhish, Zuchini etc was really good. Overall experience : 3.5 out of 5. I would definitely ask people to visit this property and other properties they have. I had given this same feedback to their General Manager and Chief CHEF personally so that they can improve their standards.
