Quick trip to Athens where the main purpose was to visit the Parthenon but you need somewhere to sleep, as we did not plan to spend much time in the hotel and did not want to spend silly money we found a cheap deal so did not expect 5 star hotel. What we did get was somewhere clean and comfortable, yep it was not in the centre but it was close enough and the metro tickets were cheap (check out the 5 day pass) yes there were quite a few homeless about but I live in Central London so I am used to that only difference is I could not offer those I passed in Athens foodbank vouchers like I can in London, we had no problem with them begging and none of them were aggressive they just had nowhere to live but if you don't want to see this go stay in a 5 star somewhere that the homeless are moved on. The Breakfast was fine, plenty of choice but unless you got there early or when it was replenished the hot choices were not always hot, but there was always plenty to set you up for the day. The only downside was the school groups that use this place as it is so cheap but we only had to ask once and the group leader made sure the noise level was reduced...I've taken youths on trips and understand they get excited but like the leader we encountered also made sure they knew not to disturb other people but you may have to ask them to ssshhhhh

This is one of the best hotels we've ever been. Very good service, tasty breakfasts, beauityful old building. We had room with two balcones, with nice view. We had about 200m to Omonia whetre metro station is so it;s very close.

For sure it was a nice and fancy art hotel, but 40 years ago. Need a general properly refurbishment. Very unsafe and unpleasant feeling in the immediate neighborhood, full of homeless people, addicted ( at just 20m from the hotel main entrance, in the little square and at 4-5am the siren of the police car wakes you up). The breakfast was acceptable.

Very dangerous area. Would not recommend staying here. Rooms are dark and shabby. Had to clean blood from the door and phone. Shower moldy, etc. Would have given 0 stars but the breakfast was decent and staff friendly

Whilst this hotel occupies a central location and is super easy to find, it’s become very run down and uncared for. Bathrooms are a bit broken, shower head a trickle and largely blocked with limescale. Carpets and furniture are very worn. Staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is good. The neighbouring side streets full of homeless junkies shooting up on the crowded urine. Soaked pavements.
