Big shout out the Cosmopolita Hotel in Rome. From our first interactions via email weeks before our arrival thru our two different stays in April the staff was amazing! Fatima, Alessia and Frederica at the front desk were outstanding in providing, transportation, recommendations and reservations and simply being pleasure to work with. They provided truly smart and intuitive service. Shout out to the breakfast staff as well! I highly recommend this property as you are in walking distance to most everything you would want to see on Rome.

Our family booked three [3] separate rooms here and we were all very pleased. This is a reasonable hotel. Centrally located to walk/taxi to most of the more prominent Rome sites. Staff is EXCELLENT! Contact Ms. Fatima at the front desk for anything you may need assistance on. Always book dinner reservations, regardless of the style of restaurant. Yes, even the Scottish pub across the street requires a resv. Mr. Clenmen on the hotel staff can get you anything you may need for your room. As for the rooms: yes, they are typical European, small and tight. If you get a room that looks out to the main street, it is loud and busy during the daytime. If you get an interior room, that opens to the atrium, you can hear the noise in early morning from people in the gym clanging the weights around. No hotel food service [except for morning breakfast], which is 25 EUR, rather expensive, go next door for the 10 EUR breakfast. There is a cafe next door, open early for breakfast. Lunch and dinner menu available later in the day. Front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. Hotel is secure. I do recommend this location for all travelers, including families and older adults.

Not a Hilton representative properly

A disappointing example of a hotel that gets away with subpar service and exorbitant pricing due to their location. The location of this hotel is indeed the best thing about it. Second is the sweet breakfast staff and buffet. Many people and even signs in the elevator tell of busyness for breakfast but we never had an issue (at multiple time slots) or found it overcrowded. The buyer beware is the front desk staff who are clearly motivated and incentivized to sell tours and airport transfers over providing true service and guest experience. The airport transfers are 3x the taxi rate which is simple and easy to use via Uber or FreeNow app given the convenient location of the hotel. We never waited more than 3 mins for a taxi. Regarding the golf cart tour they immediately mention, it’s subpar (do not book) & the tour operator does not honor use of a credit card (or so they claim when convenient) & the front office takes zero responsibility. It’s a classic scam. Extremely disappointing for the Hilton brand, these are not the shenanigans we expect from this reputable company. For these reasons, I would not stay here again.

If you are American…

This is a very central location. Very short walk to the Trevi, and lots of attractions minutes away including the pantheon. However, there is no a/c.. and opening a window if you are a light sleeper is not going to be an option due to the sirens and street traffic. I am a diamond lifetime and they upgraded me to the top floor with a view however i switched my room to have a bigger bathroom with no view cuz i was touching the toilet paper and the sink. That was a deal breaker for me. The man at the desk kindly switched me to the first floor and offered me two rooms to look at. In the end, i was happy with that room. If you have mobility issues, the breakfast is on the 5th floor which is a flight of stairs. My mom would not have been able to get to breakfast. The elevator only goes to the 4th floor. Breakfast… well, i went twice at 9.30 and there were no eggs, no bacon and no fruit and the woman taking the coffee order does that and the other man cleans the tables not sure who is responsible for reloading the food but seemed i had to ask each time. To which they did replenish but seems you could be on top of that. He also told me that the Americans complain about the elevator and the air con.. so keep that in mind. No the rooms are not big by any means. Another posted about the size. That is fine. I am not usually in my room and it is central Rome and Europe. I wasn’t thrilled with this hotel but they did a great job of cleaning and were super friendly. Yes, there is construction out the hotel so you do walk a few minutes to get to the street so if you have a ton of luggage. Well.. you have to deal with that and stairs. Just things that i know Americans are very concerned about including myself. Especially since when we come to Europe it is for awhile and don’t have just carry on luggage. So.. that being said, I would stay here again due to the location of this hotel vs the other Hilton properties around. Just probably not in the heat of summer.

The only good part was the front desk staff and the large towels.

The other reviews here are accurate. Good points: VERY friendly staff, they were excellent help when I needed to grab a cab. The room was clean, the bathroom had large towels. Not great points: - This one is not the hotel's fault, just a warning for Feb/March 2024: The street is blocked off for construction so you have to walk to/from the corner to get a ride, which is annoying when you're forced to roll luggage over the cobblestone sidewalk. I couldn't lift my suitcase (I had an injury) and asked for help getting it up the stairs to the Lift. The gentleman at the front desk jumped up and helped immediately, but no one warned me that there were MORE STEPS once I got to my floor, and he didn't accompany me. So my choices were to either go back down and get help, leave them in the hall and find my room and call downstairs, or get them up the steps myself. I was already annoyed (the why is detailed below***), so I got luggage up the steps with a lot of effort and adrenaline. The room was FILLED by the double bed. There was little space to navigate around it. I thought other reviews were exaggerating, and I'm sorry I didn't grab a picture. I don't understand how two people can manage to be in this room together. The bathroom was pleasantly large, but there was no hair dryer. Funny how every other hotel I stayed in on my tour, even the small hotels in smaller towns, had a hair dryer. Worst part of the room: You have NO TEMPERATURE CONTROL! I had to call the front desk to ask how to turn on the fan because the room was too hot. That's when I learned that there is no temperature control in each room, and the hotel doesn't have the ability to cool your room, the only thing they can do is shut off the heat. You really do have to open the window to get any kind of relief from the heat. ***I was supposed to stay at this hotel for 3 nights, but the person I was supposed to travel with cancelled. The stay was to begin checking in on Wednesday, and checking out on Saturday. I called the SUNDAY PRIOR to cancel. I was told that cancellation was not possible, and that the only thing they could do was remove the city tax for the second person. I downloaded the HiltonHonors app the next day and on there it said I had until 12 noon ON TUESDAY to cancel the reservation (remember I called on SUNDAY). So I had to call HiltonHonors and get them involved. I wanted to cancel ENTIRELY and stay closer to the airport. The hotel manager said that if I kept the Wednesday check in, they would cancel the Thursday through Saturday. So now I'm spending more for a hotel I didn't want. AND the charges for the two cancelled days still appeared on my credit card. I had to make more phone calls to HiltonHonors, and INSIST that the hotel send me an email confirming my total and that the remaining days were cancelled. In conclusion: If you don't mind a room 85% filled by a bed, no space to lay out clothes if you have more than a carry on suitcase, don't mind random stairs to get to your room, are fine with no temperature control in a very hot room, have your own hair dryer, and are a HiltonHonors member who is DILIGENT about tracking their reservations, correspondence, and credit card charges, then you won't mind this place. If you have issues with any of these things, maybe consider one of the thousand other hotels in Rome.
