There is nothing negative to write about this Hotel. The stay, the staff, food, service, price, cleanliness, room, and the free access to the fitness facilities, location, and more were all perfect! I stayed here to write a book, for peace and quiet, which I got. But, I will be back to Aston when we next travel to visit Birmingham with my wife. The location of the hotel in relation to Birmingham city centre is perfect. It's just a 5 to 10 minute walk through this vibrant city. Aston Hotel sits on the edge of Aston University, with a Costa, Tesco express, Greggs, Wok and Go noodles bar, and other takeaway restaurants. The staff were all extremely pleasant and happy to help when I asked. I caught the train into New Street station, which is less than a 15-minute walk to the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, with a huge variety of foods and beverage. The hotel holds huge conference rooms, which during the week are busy, but this has no bearing on the hotel other than people moving around on the ground floor. My room, a double, was perfect. No complaints at all. Overall, a fantastic find. After 3 nights, I'm already missing the gorgeous surroundings.

Stayed on a Saturday night as we were attending a concert at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. The hotel is on the campus of Aston University which has a nice relaxed atmosphere about it. We were met with a very warm welcome and all staff members we encountered were excellent. Our room was very clean and the bed exceedingly comfortable. We had an evening meal in the restaurant and the food we were presented with was of a very high standard. Similarly breakfast, the next day, was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are going to an event at the Conservatoire, as it is only a few hundred yards away.

This hotel has a perfect location in the peaceful Aston University campus, about 20 minutes of walking to the Bullring and New Street Station or 15 minutes from Moor street station. My room was a bit too small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast has a big choice of cooked meal, very delicious. The choice of continental breakfast is limited but it is expected in England. As it is a conference hotel it is usually quite busy on the working days but the part with the rooms is always quiet. I can truly recommend this hotel.

Small (especially bathroom) but clean and functional. Excellent TV. Good recycling facilities. Friendly and helpful reception staff. I requested a quiet room and it was quiet. Pleasant location and walking distance from city centre. Will definitely visit again if need arises.

We were attending Aston University for a weekend conference. We stayed in the accommodation as it was so convenient for the meeting area. The staff were efficient and friendly. The room was spotless and comfortable. We included the breakfast, which was a good decision as it was delicious and plentiful. The location is convenient for the city centre and set in the university grounds so pleasant for an evening stroll. Highly recommended.
