The pictures don’t look like the actual place. The room was dirty and full of cockroaches. The toilet was malfunctioning. Great location attracted me but have I known how dirt it was I would have never stayed there. The manager contacted us quickly but he just explained himself. The wall was damp and the smell was terrible.

In this location there are two rental apartments. No receptionists at all, you need to arrange an appointment at your arrival to get your apartments keys and instructions. The person who gave us the keys was polite, friendly and helpful, however, the stairwell was just painted and the smell was really strong inside the apartment. There were two French size beds, the apartment was a big single room, a nice big shower (which needed some maintenance, because it leaks everywhere) closed with a curtain (a door would avoid to spread water all over the floor). On Saturday night the restaurant in front of us played loud music until 01.30 am and it was difficult to sleep, during the other nights there was not such a problem. There is a nice terrace from which it is possible to catch a glimpse of the Acropolis. On Sunday there was a terrible sewer smell coming from the shower drain. There are nice windows, but the blinds are not able to blind them completely for the night and during the day if you open them there is no additional light curtain, so everyone from the street can look inside. The location is perfect, you can reach every place in Athens walking or by train, with a metro station located a 100 meters away from the apartment; there is also a Taxi stand (unofficial) in the square just down the apartment. There was no room service at all during our stay even though we were told something about a "daily service" from the person who received us. Soap, toiletries and cleaning material were available inside the apartment. All in all the experience was ok, but some attention to a few details could improve this already recommended accommodation very much.

Room was spacious and high ceilings. Was an absolute pleasure to stay. Roof top balcony is also wonderful- with great temperatures and a view of the acropolis- lovely for glass of wine. Location was perfect- trains close by to the port and airport and secondly close to the acropolis. Highly recommend.

This property is in probably the best location for a tourist coming to Athens. The hosts are quick to respond to questions and attentive. Apartment is clean, building entrance is secure, and room amenities are acceptable. However, as for level of accommodation, I'd have to knock this down from 4* to 3*. The staff is NOT onsite and the apartment is fairly basic. The best thing this property offers is EASY walk to transit and Monastraski Square. I'd also say it was a good value for the price paid.

We booked this place for the location and the cost. I didn't initial realize that there was no onsite concierge services. when we booked, we were sent an email advising us we needed to arrange a check in time so a 'greeter' can meet us and provide us with a key to our suite. We did this and got confirmation weeks in advance. On the day we arrive, no one was there to greet us. There was no information at all. We were just standing with our luggage and small child waiting for someone to come. When no one did, we emailed, but got no reply. We tried calling but no answer. There was a shopkeeper next door. Luckily she knew the guy who was supposed to come. She called him many times until she got him and connected us (using her phone). He then tells me he'll email the code to a lock box for the key and which suite was ours. He said he another booking for the same time that's why he didn't come. Then he sent us an email with all the instructions......Seriously! He left us abandoned because he was complete disorganization and/or just didn't care. We were really lucky the shopkeeper was there. Had we been a couple of hours later, she had closed up for the day. We never got an apology and we never saw him. The room was big and there was good shower pressure. The room we were In sleeps 2 comfortably, but not 3. I had to sleep on a 2-seater couch that doesn't pull out and had arm rests so I couldn't stretch out my legs. Very uncomfortable, plus there were no extra sheets for the bed. I don't recommend this place.
