This was by far the worst experience I've had. The booking was made on behalf of my family (parents and two siblings) who travelled to Czechia for my wedding. We chose this apartment based on its location, images, and facilities listed on booking.com. However, upon arrival in Prague, my family had to go to a reception located at Masna 20, which is an 11-minute walk (according to Google Maps) from the supposed location of our booked apartment at Karlova 174/24. An 11-minute walk on Prague's old town cobbled stoned streets, especially for senior guests like my parents, proved to be an unpleasant experience. Despite booking.com and the booking confirmation stating that the apartment was at Karlova 24 (as per the attached photo), the provided apartment was completely different and had no resemblance to the one we booked. The issues were as follows: - The apartment seemed to be someone's residence, possibly being rented while they were away, and it contained a large, personal wardrobe-like locker. - The apartment was in a shabby state, with damaged items and clutter throughout. - The kitchen sink was clogged, rendering it unusable. - The shower on the upper floor was also clogged, causing water to overflow and drip onto the floor below. - There was inadequate lighting in the first part of the apartment, causing my mother to trip during the night. - The cleanliness of the apartment fell short of expectations, with stains on the sofas, blankets, etc. The attached photos support these points and clearly indicate that the apartment was nothing like the one portrayed on booking.com with its "premium" branding. When we called the reception on the evening of our arrival, the person acknowledged the issue but claimed they could do nothing about it until the following morning. However, that turned out not to be the case, and we had to personally visit the reception to address the matter. The person at the reception agreed that there was an issue and in fact offered us the originally booked apartment after it was cleaned and vacated by other guests. We had to wait and then move our belongings all the way to Karlova 24 from the current unsatisfactory apartment. We expressed our request for a refund for the first night due to all the hassle and the unpleasant situation. I clearly stated that compensation for that night would resolve the matter amicably and prevent me from posting a negative review. However, we were informed that a refund was not possible, and instead, we were offered a one-time breakfast worth 8 euros per person as compensation, which was inadequate considering the extent of the inconvenience. Furthermore, despite booking the apartment for 4 persons, our family was provided with just a single set of keys, making it very difficult for us to access the apartment smoothly. Additionally, we were required to pay a 200EUR damage deposit, which was returned to us only one month after our stay. I have been using booking.com for many years, and this was the first time I was asked to leave such a deposit, raising concerns about the handling of such transactions. In conclusion, I strongly advise against booking with Charles Bridge Premium Apartments, as their operations appear to be questionable and may be in violation of booking.com's platform policies.

BE AWARE, this kind of business has a lot of apartments in Prague, afterwards, you done with a reservation, they ASKING YOU 200 euro for deposit fees for example if you lost keys and etc. if you read a lot of reviews on TripAdvisor and booking, they say the same thing , they charge you ,for damages that you didn’t make. So if the price is very catchy and very low, be aware, because there is a catch When I’ve done the process of the booking, 10 minutes later, I receive the message about €200 . if they return the money even a part of it they will do it through card and will be refund it after SEVEN days if they return the whole amount , it doesn’t make sense it’s a budget place and they asking an enormous amount of money that you will need for your travel as a budget traveller. I wasn’t able to do it free cancellation on the same day that I’d done the reservation . And they refuse to give my money back one month before my arrival there and they accuse me it’s my fault , of course, the deposit wasn’t visible in the house policy, but somewhere hidden with the title important notice , very tricky ! The logic says during the final step of the payment the amount it should be visible and it doesn’t , BE AWARE the bad reviews will be visible if you use the filters for the lowest reviews in each booking site and believe me there are MANY not one or two with ONE STAR & they say same stuff BE CAREFUL!

Horrible communication. If anyone decide to book this accomodation, please take photos of the whole apartment. No one came to check the apartment before we left It (that was the first weird point). When we left two apartments, I found out after few days that they didn't send me back the whole deposit. We paid together 400€ (200€ for each apartment), but they took around 250€ from deposit without any warning. I've been waiting for two days when someone finally replied on my e-mail. They told me, that we damaged one of the beds, but we did nothing. We were the most of the time walking outside and we know how to behave. When I asked them for the date of taking a photo and some other necessary information, I've never got back any information and reply. This situation ruined our weekend trip to Prague and I've got a feeling these people are ordinary arrogant thieves.

You don’t receive the apartment you see online as they have multiple places. Staff is not empathetic. The reception if far and to get there (we were not informed btw and lost a lot of time trying to solve this puzzle) to get the keys is a struggle, especially with a child. No parking place provided. Apartment not as in photos, further away from the address we had, in a shady building. We gave the keys back and went to a hotel and a had a lovely time in prague. They refused to refund, as they did not see a issue in our problem. Blocked 200 euro as a guarantee, if they will not unblock soon I will call the police. Terrible experience, hoax of a business.

I was booked into Apartment 6 at Karlova 24 which is on the 3rd floor (there is a small lift).for 4 nights. The property is decorated to a very high standard and is spacious, clean and in a perfect location being only 2 minutes walk from both the Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. The check in takes place at offices about 10 minutes away but this is no problem and was both fast and easy as the staff spoke excellent English. For ease I have listed below both the good and bad points which I hope will help - the good points far outweigh the bad so I am happy to give this property a very good overall rating and I would certainly stay there again. GOOD 1. Excellent location 2. Very secure - 2 electronic locks to get into the building plus very solid locks for the apartment itself. 3. Excellent free wifi 4. Fitted out to a very high standard with quality furnishings, bedding etc. 5. Spotlessly clean 6. Fully equipped kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher, and plenty of pans, cutlery and crockery (which I did use because with so many good restaurants in the area it was easier to eat out). 7. Very spacious - could comfortably accommodate 4/5 with 2 seperate bedrooms, kitchen with separate dining area and separate bathroom & toilet rooms. 8. Only 7 minute walk from Metro Station and Tram Stop. 9.Efficient heating system (very necessary in Prague during the winter months). 10. Relatively quiet - this is a city centre property in a popular tourist pedestranised area so some noise can be expected but effective double gazing and the 3rd floor location help to cut down on this - the only problem is that they start to sweep/wash the streets and empty the bins from the many restaurants at 6.30 every morning and this becomes quite noticeable for an hour or so. Bad. 1. They did not supply plugs for sinks/basin so it was not possible to use the bath (there is an excellent show though) or wash up dishes properly. 2. Although there is a very large flat screen television provided it only showed programs in German (not czech ?) with very few exceptions ( only CNN & Sky News in english) out of over 150 channel available. The presence of very fast wifi did allow me to stream programs onto my tablet but it was a major irritant. 3. The check in reception warned that the owner resides in the building and can be "awkward" and indeed there were signs up in the property warning not to bring takeway food in at the risk of receiving a visit from the owner who would impose a 20 euro fine ! (on the basis that the building is UNESCO listed ???). I did notice on several occasions that someone was patrolling the common spaces of the building (usually appearing when he heard a door open) and there seems to be extensive internal cctv in the public areas. Whilst this did not concern me overduly (indeed the added security might be considered a good thing) some may find this to be an invasion of privacy. 4. At the time of my visit (March 2020) there was renovation works taking place on one of the lower apartments which resulted in quite a lot of noise - this only started at 9.00 and stopped promptly at 17.00 but would be of concern for anyone wishing to use the apartment during the day. Overall a very pleasant stay and I not hesitate to stay there again.
