It may have been good in the past, but today it's terrible. This is closely related to the situation outside the hotel, just before it, where there are drugs, crime and vagabonds. Everything in the hotel is outdated, dirty and has a terrible smell. And it way to expensive for this

I just returned from my holiday in Frankfurt. I stayed at another hotel. I went to the National Hotel and spoke to the manager. As far as he was concerned, no refunds. I managed about the negative marks written about this hotel in Trip Advisor. He said, I could care less, very few people read trip advisor.

We checked out as soon as we checked in, the rooms are very sub standard they are damp and mouldy, was shown 3 other rooms which where a disgrace also. bedding very dirty and old fashioned throughout, 'non-smoking rooms' that all had the odour that someone had recently been smoking in them. Shower not working either. Unsafe outside as there are a lot of drug addicts and homeless hanging around the entrance... AVOID AT ALL COSTS When asked for a refund the management just laughed and told us we can check out but no refund, was very very unhelpful and very rude SIMPLY AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I have been reading the reviews about this hotel. I wish to let readers of this website know how they treated me. Coronavirus has gripped the world. All countries are dealing with it. I had to cancel my vacation. I had planned a trip to Ireland, Dublin, and Frankfurt, Germany. The hotel in Dublin refunded me my money, Hotel National refused to refund my money. No explanation, emails to this hotel were unanswered.

Coronavirus, has turned the world upside down. All countries have face this horrible plague. I was scheduled to take my vacation last year. Due to the Coronavirus, flights to Italy, England, and Germany were canceled. The hotels in Italy and England returned my deposits. The National Hotel kept it and refused to return my money. Avoid this hotel altogether.
