It is 25 minutes walk above Old Montreal, 5 minutes walk above China Town. With a subway station close by, but need to change train to go to Old Montreal. On the most commercial street St. Catherine, but off to the less busy north end. I am not sure if breakfast is still available, at extra cost, but I didn’t see anybody eating breakfast at the hotel. Looking for breakfast in the morning is a bit difficult since most restaurants open after 10:00AM. The room is clean and tidy, the size is OK. The furnitures look a bit old but the thermostat and the shower (no bath tub) have been upgraded. Free coffee and tea are provided at a comfortable sitting area besides the reception. 2nd floor has another small sitting area and a business centre. Only velvet parking is available $30+ per day with in and out multiple times. The price is good. The reception is friendly.

Great location , friendly staff, everything just fine. To recommendations: 1. Make that the doors to the rooms close more silently by adjusting the pressure and/or applying isolation materials . 2. Add some dumbbells to the gym. All in all I enjoyed my stay and would repeat it next time when I visit Montreal

Hostel, Homeless people & No breakfast

If you want the hostel feel then this hotel is the right one for you. While it’s not necessarily the hotels fault it was just a rather unsafe location with tons of homeless people surrounding it, garbage everywhere, even dog poop right outside the hotel doors and the construction was just appalling. It was already an expensive stay but parking had to be extra expensive and on-top of that we were not served breakfast because that was an additional ridiculous fee. Overall pulling up to the hotel we could already tell it was not going to be a good stay and indeed we were right, a rather mediocre stay it was.

The staff at this Best Western are incredibly caring, considerate and kind. I've been staying here for a longer stay due to some life situations, so I've been here a bit more time than most. All the receptionists are warm, kind and really show you that they value you and how things are done in general. I've also gotten to know one of the managers and when it's clear that the leadership here is top notch. How everyone treats customers, from the cleaning staff to the receptionists, management and anyone else, is amazing and I cannot thank you all enough for making myself and other guests here feel welcome and cared for, it's truly been a pleasure and I could possibly ask for anyone better to stay with, especially with such a long stay as mine; almost a month now. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart for helping me with my stay here and being so understanding and thoughtful, personable as well. Thank you so so much to Alyssa, Raphaelle, Tommy, Vanessa, Pristina, Emilie, Yzaih for everything and your authenticity, you all are exceptional people.

Requested an hour early check in because we were driving from Nova Scotia, arrived at 9 am to ask if we can park our car for the day until check in and was given an available room right away. Can’t express how amazing that was considering we drove all through the night and got to nap for a few hours before our event that night. Extremely grateful. Also the valet staff was great, very accommodating. Pizza ghetti at the restaurant was delicious. Will be coming back!
