We chose the location even though it was not downtown because it was close to an event. The rooms were clean and quiet, sunny and good for reading, basic yet comfortable and all of us were happy by our stay.

We’re glad we found the Anker Apartments for our two nights in Oslo. It was quite a good value. We were greeted by friendly staff. We picked up bed linens and towels when we checked in. We also requested a kitchenette set which has dishes, cups and silverware. Staff helped us with directions and questions - very helpful! The rooms look like furnished student housing and was perfectly fine for our needs. We had a suite with two twin beds, two bunk beds, a couch, table and chairs, and a kitchenette along with a bathroom. All doors require a key card to open so it feels very safe and the elevator is helpful with luggage. Our beds were comfortable and while we were there it was pretty quiet. Our only complaint is that it was warm while we were there and our room was stuffy. We stayed on a room that opened to a ground floor courtyard and the windows only crack open a little at the top. It was quite warm during the day and there was no air circulation. We would have happily paid to rent electric fans if they were available but none available. There is a Joker grocery store adjacent to the apartments with food, snacks, drinks, and some good inexpensive coffee. There is a larger Spar grocery store just a couple of blocks away. We loved the view of Oslo from the rooftop deck. Could use some more furniture (there's a couple of older picnic tables) but it's got an awesome view. Tip on location. We flew in from the US the night before and we’re quite tired so we took a taxi from Oslo Central station. It was slow and expensive. However it’s only about a 30 minute walk from the central station or you can take the tram from there. You can download the RuterBillett app, buy tickets on the tram or stop in the Ruter customer service office at the central station where they will sell you tickets and help you find the right tram. Super easy once you figure it out.

I’ve just stayed there over the last 4 nights. Was relatively well located with local transport links and easy to find. Room was ideal for Someone on a solo trip for a Scandinavian site-seer. Would recommend, place was clean and tidy and very accommodating for visitors. A local Irish pub is located just over the road. Also there is a shop on site for all basic needs and requirements.

We stayed here at the beginning of December. The establishment offered a warm welcome at check in. The apartment was very clean and in good condition with small kitchenette and en suite bathroom. There’s a small shop downstairs to purchase essentials. We would definitely stay here again.

Spartan rooms, no television, good internet, bunkbeds like a hostel. It is a confort enviroment for kids and families. The crew should improve English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Frech and other languages. And also social/hosting skills. The reception does not provide sewing kits and small emergency compliments. Silverware, dishes and other things need to make a deposit. Very noise reception and street. Group of students and drunk young people keep smoking and tlaking during the night in front of the hotel. Security in the hotel depencendies should be inforced. Large groups of young men walking around in the corridors during the night. Good towel and soap/shampoo service. Cleaning of the room is not automatic, you must ask for that. Crew are prepared to answer questions about Oslo attractions and Oslo public transportation. But there is some pin boards in the looby with some information. It more like hostel than an apartment. And it is not a hotel. It has to improve a lot to be a family hotel. And it is expensive for what it is. There is a "joker" small supermarket in the building. It helps a lot. But does not sell public transporting tickets, you have to walk a bit to find in the neighborhood. Complimentary quest tap water (cold) is nice too. Olso is very dry in the summer.
