We stayed at Marriott hotels throughout our travels through Europe and this was the worse room we’ve had by far. The family room we booked looked like a hospital room and had stained old rug and mold in the bathroom. The location of the hotel was great. The restaurant and overall look and feel of the rest of the hotel was much better. It just didn’t make sense why the room was so bad. It unfortunately put a damper on what otherwise would have been a nice stay. Especially for the price relative to what you get, wasn’t even comparable to a similar hotels. Won’t be back.

Dear hotel management, I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for the fantastic experience I had during my stay at your hotel. From the moment I arrived and was greeted by the lovely Rose, until the moment I left, the service I received was impeccable and professional. The room was clean, well organized and comfortable, and the amazing view from the window was truly breathtaking. The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful with any questions or requests I had. The food at the hotel was delicious and varied and I enjoyed every moment in the hotel grounds. I wanted to thank you for providing such a wonderful experience and highly recommend your hotel to my friends and family. I'm sure I'll be back to visit again in the future. Great stay at the Marriott Amsterdam

We visited Amsterdam for three nights with accommodations at the Marriot. The location of this property is second to none as is right smack in the middle of the city where you can enjoy the beautiful canals and great restaurants. The concierge staff were very helpful with directions and suggestions, providing the opportunity to purchase our Canal Hop-On-Off tickets on location. Don’t miss the best steak house experience, the “Midtown Grill” at the Marriott. It stays busy so be sure to make a reservation. The Marriot Bonvoy lounge at this property offers great selections for breakfast, happy hour, and dinner. The help like Cootje and Samantha were very attentive and made our daily visits enjoyable. I would like to recognize Ms. Shirin Rawlley the guest experience manager who went out of her way to make our stay a memorable one. We were celebrating our anniversary and my wife's birthday and to our surprise our room was decorated with ballons, wine and sweets. This type of welcoming is unique, and I want to thank Ms. Rawlley for making it happen. A manager that is engaged in every aspect of the guest’s stay. Thanks again for the wonderful experience.

Most sincere thanks for ***absolutely superb*** service provided at breakfast, at Midtown Grill, by ***LAURA and IMOLA***, at dinner, in the same location, by Claudia and Isabella, and, at the hotel bar, by ***LY***. Everyone was immensely kind, thoughtful, attentive, and extremely professional. My family and I had the pleasure of interacting with Laura and Imola at breakfast, over several days, and we were quite convinced they have mind-reading abilities. :) Laura and Imola went truly out of their way to make our stay memorable every single morning. Moreover, their language skills (together, they speak at least four languages) came in handy when my parents had to have breakfast by themselves. Claudia and Isabella provided truly outstanding dinner service on several occasions. They were extremely attentive, kind, and professional. Ly took wonderful care of us every time we went to the bar, and she was especially attentive toward and kind to my mother, for which I am very grateful. Most sincere thanks to all of you! You’ve made our stay memorable!

We would highly recommend the Amsterdam Marriott Hotel due to the great service, reasonable price and location, location, location. Fortunately we are Marriott members with status which enabled us to use the Marriott lounge. Coming off a red eye flight from the U.S., we checked into the hotel at approximately 8 am, which is well before normal checkin times. Due to the high occupancy rate of the hotel, there we no rooms available at checkin, however the hotel staff graciously allowed us to use the lounge while we waited. The wait was relatively short and we were able to checkin to our room by about 10 am. In the intern, we were also able to eat a high quality breakfast in the lounge. Overall Marriott lounge was definitely first class regarding service and the types of foods/drinks that were available. In particular we enjoyed the wide range of foods available for breakfast and the fact we could request a particular order from the kitchen due to our Titanium status. In the evening, the happy hour(s) had free flowing quality wines and hor dourves. The room was typical high quality level that one would expect from this Marriott chain. The hotel also housed the Midtown Grill restaurant, currently listed as #88 in the world's top 100 steakhouses. We were fortunate to eat at this restaurant and enjoyed a truly top level steak and overall excellent dining experience. We found the service at this hotel to be exceptional. All of the employees we encountered were helpful, cheerful and hard working. Rivaling the high quality service was the location of the hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed the fact that we were literally minutes away in walking distance from some of the top experiences Amsterdam has to offer. The only caution I would offer is for tourists, like ourselves, to be particularly mindful of bicyclists when crossing the streets. I would also recommend those spending a few days in Amsterdam to purchase the Amsterdam regional travel ticket as it provides access to a number of transportation options and will save you time and money. We activated our cards at the main office near the Amsterdam Central Station. While wandering the streets of Amsterdam, expect to get temporarily lost as there are few, if any buildings, that you can use as a point of reference. On the plus side, if one is going to get temporarily lost, Amsterdam is a wonderful city for that to occur. We also were impressed with how clean and safe Amsterdam was. While there are a number of "coffee shops", they are well regulated and do not present any problems or issues to those whom are not interested in visiting such locations. We visited during the month of April, so we often experienced all four seasons every day. Fortunately, the hotel is able to provide umbrellas for those in need. Based on the quality of the service, reasonable price and location of the hotel, this is without a doubt our new go to hotel when visiting Amsterdam.
