Alecrim ao Chiado was the perfect place to stay in Lisbon. Firstly, we were so happy that we chose the Chiado area to stay, a lovely upscale area (less touristy than other neighborhoods) with easy access to dining, transportation and walkable to other parts of the city. This charming boutique hotel was quiet and beautifully decorated. Our suite was on the main floor behind the reception (room#2) and was spacious with a comfortable bed, large closets, ample seating and a large bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served in a cozy room downstairs. There was an ample array of meats, cheeses, cereals, fruit, pastries, yogurt and breads. Made to order eggs were also available. We loved the easy downhill walk to the Time Out Market which we enjoyed so much we had 3 meals there. I would highly recommend staying at Alecrim ao Chiado!

A fabulous boutique hotel situated centrally for everything Lisbon has to offer. Our room was comfortable and airy and once the shutters were closed, very quiet despite being on a busy road. The breakfast was great with plenty of choice and attentive staff who were available to make eggs if required. The reception staff that we met really make this hotel very special. Each one one friendly and helpful. Would recommend highly.

Great location in a lovely city. Rooms spacious and clean. Breakfast should be improved - continental plus only eggs was disappointing. The reception manager on your evening shift could also greet you / smile when entering the building vs keeping his head down at the laptop. Made me feel the customer service could be improved.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. The front desk staff were extremely helpful with recommendations. We were upgraded from a regular room to a suite which wonderful as the room was spacious and so comfortable. They even had our room ready at 9:30 am when we arrived from our overnight flight. The breakfast is fabulous with made to order eggs, fruit, pastries, cheeses, etc.

Our stay at Alecrim ao Chiado was fantastic! The front desk staff is very personable and helpful. They recommended restaurants to try and helped us navigate the city to our daily destinations. It was my birthday when we stayed here and they even brought me a little cake at breakfast and sang "happy birthday" to me, which was so touching. Its location was perfect for us as it was a few blocks from a Metro stop and in walking distance of various big sights. Everything was very clean and the hotel has a beautiful old world charm. We really enjoyed our stay at Alecrim ao Chiado!
