On the plus side, the hotel is quiet and the bed was comfy. On the negatives: shocked to find out the fees to use the pool! Shower had strange fumes of sulpher/methane from the drain. There is no business centre if you need a quiet area to make a call, do work. The internet is weak. I would not stay here again.

Absolutely excellent! The guest relations manager Anna made sure I had a wonderful time, the staff were all outstanding and the service was exceptional. The best rooftop pool I’ve seen in a long time, loved just lounging there and having delicious cocktails and snacks. Accommodation was really good . Also has a gym where I worked out every day. No complaints can highly recommend.

Our stay at Airotel Alexandros Hotel was a mixed experience, with both positive and negative aspects that left us with conflicting feelings. Let's begin with the positives - the hotel offers a free parking place, which was a convenient and welcome feature. The staff at the reception was courteous and informative, making the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. However, our disappointment arose when we discovered that access to the pool area required a minimum spend of 40 euros. This information was not made clear during the booking process, and we had chosen this hotel mainly because of the pool facilities. It felt somewhat deceiving to have this added cost, and it limited our enjoyment of the pool, especially for guests who might not wish to spend that much. Moreover, another inconvenience was the lack of food service before 17:00, leaving guests with no option but to spend on drinks during the day. This arrangement might not be suitable for everyone, especially those seeking substantial meals or healthier options during their stay. Regrettably, the staff at the pool area did not match the level of friendliness we experienced at the reception. Some were rude, and this negatively impacted our experience. The biggest letdown, however, was the breakfast. The lack of diversity and inedible options made it an underwhelming start to the day. The coffee provided was of poor quality, and if you desired a better cup, an additional charge was required. Healthy food choices were scarce, and the heavy reliance on pork offerings might not be suitable for all guests, especially those with dietary restrictions or preferences. On the positive side, the room itself had some redeeming features. The air conditioning worked well, providing a comfortable environment during our stay. The spacious bathroom with a large bathtub was a welcome addition, and the towels provided were clean and of good quality. In conclusion, Airotel Alexandros Hotel has its strengths, including free parking, helpful reception staff, and satisfactory room amenities. However, the disappointment with the pool access policy, lack of food options, and unimpressive breakfast experience were significant drawbacks. If you prioritize a pool-centric stay with a satisfying breakfast, this hotel may not fully meet your expectations. However, if you are willing to overlook these downsides, the hotel does offer a comfortable stay with some amenities to appreciate. Note: Please bear in mind that experiences may vary, and it's recommended to verify any specific policies and amenities before making a reservation at Airotel Alexandros Hotel.

My personal tip is maybe choose a different hotel but obviously totally subjective. I visit Athens at least 5 times a year to see family and this is definitely on my ‘to miss’ in the future. The reviews are great so we booked. It’s July so our needs are simple, pool, good air conditioning and breakfast. The Airotel offered just 2 of the three must haves. The pool is teeny which I’ve had before but the must book and pay €25 for a base set of sunbeds for customers is something I’ve never had before. And even if you bite the bullet there’s no availability. It’s 35 degrees in the city so there’s no other options as far as activities go during the day. The air conditioning was just enough to sleep out of any bedding and if you’re not moving as soon as you get up it’s hot. You have no control and minimal temperature is 24 ( not actually 24 so probably warmer when fighting the extreme heat. Breakfast was okay. We had yogurt and nuts as nothing else appealed. So good points - shower was good. Loved the filtered drinking water on each floor and the staff downstairs really tried to assist ( pool area staff were not as friendly or accommodating). Booked superior room with a lovely view of a wall a few feet away and basic decor with no wardrobe and a handful of exposed coat hangers. Towels not changed for 3 days and due to the heatwave we had to shower three times a day. Shower gel ran out and not changed and other small things that mean I personally won’t be back but as I stated. It’s all down to tone of year, heat levels and individual needs.
