I am absolutely thrilled with this hotel. I haven't even considered it before but will not stay anywhere else now. It is an old building, which means super thick walls, which meant a completely soundless environment to sleep in. I did not hear a thing before or during my sleep. Heaven. Also, the exterior and hallways may be old, but the room was super modern, giant TV on the wall, lovely air-conditioning (that someone had the brains to mount high enough that the cold air doesn't hit the bed directly!), and an immaculately clean bathroom. The hot water pressure was excellent, and they have full size body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Full size iron and blow dryer, and a big desk. Very good Wifi for free too. There is no coffee machine, but there is instant coffee and a kettle. The bed was extremely comfortable (similar to the beds at a Hilton, if you're familiar) and I had four lovely pillows. Reception is open from 8a - 8pm, and you can buy individual beers as well as a bottle of wine - this was brilliant for a pre-dinner aperitif (and the prices are cheaper than any bar! Honestly, I just had the absolute best night's sleep in a hotel room that I've had for such a long time. Clean, quiet, dust free, blackout curtains. There is a lovely coffee roaster place for a coffee a 3 minute walk away. (Pogo Roasters). That was a great way to start my day today. I cannot fault this hotel in any way: what an absolute gem in the middle of the Adelaide CBD.

Great location good value. Go to Adelaide stay. Close to a number of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Not far from free loop bus service.

Pros: Large room nicely appointed- desk, tv, kettle friendly staff pump packs in bathroom- yay, no mini containers Cons: location- not really close to anything....a good 10 min+ walk to go anywhere decent (bit dodgy walking back at night alone) price- was expensive and did not include breakfast reception til 8pm then code for door pillows a bit weird lots of street noise Overall I felt it was very overpriced given the location and lack of inclusions. Cheaper hotels closer to the action! Also weird chicken paintings in room!!

Adabco Hotel was welcoming, clean and all staff were professional and courteous. Rooms were comfy and well equipped. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

We come to Adelaide nearly every year to attend Writers Week, Womadelaide, The Adelaide Festival and the Fringe. We always try to stay at the Adabco. It is central and comfortable and everything runs smoothly while being very reasonably priced. Hope to see you next year. Thank you.
