Took an anniversary trip to Athens in April and chose to stay at the Acropolis Select Hotel. Perfect choice! The price was very reasonable and I can’t say enough about the staff at this hotel. They were so helpful, nice, and accommodating. The rooms are good size and the beds are very comfortable. They provide fresh bottled water each day and you have a mini fridge in the room. The bathrooms are a bit tight, but this is normal for Europe. The hotel is located in a very nice and safe neighborhood. The Acropolis, Plaka, and multiple restaurants are all within about 2-3 blocks. Two blocks to the east of the hotel is the Acropolis and museum and two blocks to the west of the hotel is a promenade (a street that is closed to traffic and turned into a green space). It has multiple local restaurants with better food than what you will find at the restaurants around the Acropolis (EBoupa was exceptional). There are also several cafes and bakeries very near to the hotel with great coffee and gelato (Tzatsos Bakery). The free breakfast at the hotel was very good, with eggs, bagels, meats, cheeses, fruit, pastries, and an espresso machine. The rooftop bar and restaurant is outstanding. We ate there three nights and went up for drinks almost every night. The nighttime view of the Acropolis is amazing. They have a very good saxophone musician who plays there several times per week….sitting with a lemoncello spritz, looking at the uplit Acropolis, and listening to soft jazz music….it was kind of magical! And the bartender and waitresses are as nice and accommodating as the rest of the staff at the hotel. I highly recommend the Acropolis Select Hotel.

We had a really enjoyable stay at this excellent hotel. The rooms are very well appointed and they provide tea and coffee making facilities too. Excellent breakfast with a very good variety of food, with smiling and attentive staff. There is a wonderful roof top terrace bar and restaurant with fabulous views of the Acropolis. The prices for such a location are very fair too. Throughout the hotel all the staff were attentive and smiling which makes such a difference. The location of the hotel could not be better for access to everything

We loved our stay here. Location, staff and breakfast were great. The rooms are dated but were clean and beds comfortable, bathroom was a good size with shower over bath. Rooftop bar/restaurant had an amazing view of the Acropolis. We would stay here again,

This hotel bends over backwards to make your stay as good as possible. My wife and I were here last week and the staff were just incredibly helpful, polite and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. A special mention must go to the staff on the rooftop bar/restaurant an the 7th floor- absolutely fantastic. We ate there several times and the food and drinks were excellent, and Marius and Joanne(?) surprised us with traditional Greek drinks at the end of our meal every time. Did I mention that the view out of the windows is probably the best in Europe? I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. There's a bus stop for a bus into Syntagma Square (centre of Athens) 2 minutes walk away, it's 5 minutes away from the Acropolis museum and the Metro system and there are loads of cafés, restaurants and fast food places within walking distance. One minor detail- our room door wasn't self closing so make sure your door is shut and locked when you go out.

It was ok experience including very attentive service from reception team (special thanks to Ranya); nice top-roof view when having lunch or dinner; breakfast is ok, yet would be good to have more vegetarian stuff. I would like to mark it as "very good" experience but due to only few reasons which made me so annoyed and felt regretting to choose this place, I take it as average. Despite the location is quite good and in the walking proximity to Acropolis and nice historical places, it's located on the street where from one side super loud construction run. When I was kindly offered another room, it faced to the super busy street and right near by to gas station, which one can also smells. Impossible to sleep with the open window. Another problem – I never saw such a bad wall isolation: had impression it's from carton. Unfortunately, not so many tourists were well educated remembering they are not alone, so I couldn't properly rest over night. But I still thankful to all efforts which Ranya made to improve the feeling of frustration.
