The best thing about our room was that it was a brilliant incentive to spend every waking minute exploring Rome. The lady who greeted us at check-in was perfectly nice but we could sense that she was uncomfortable presenting the room to us, and understandably so. The room was a lot smaller than we had expected from the pictures and extremely basic. The external "bathroom", which was at the other end of the corridor, was a running joke throughout our stay. It was just so bad. The shower, while cramped (as others have mentioned), was almost unusable because the position of the shower head was far too high and angled outward, meaning that with the water pressure set to a sufficient level to induce heat, the water was spraying over our heads. We tried to fix this by precariously balancing it in the holder but it made little difference. We felt like we didn't get a proper wash for the whole trip, it was nothing more than a rinse. Not what you want after 30k steps in 30 degree C heat. While Rome was awesome, we were so relieved to get back to our own home. We feel like a lot of the issues we and others have mentioned could be fixed very easily.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Cancelled the booking for the late check-in because of the weather conditions which was notified to them in advance, however they simply ignored. It was impossible to do a check-in anymore.

Waste of money

Went here as a couple get away for 3 nights. Waste of money. Our plane was delayed and so we only arrived there 3 hours later than expected, however they had our flight number in order to check on the flight and see when we would be arriving. Once arrived there was no one there and so we rang up for them to tell us that because we was late we would have to wait for over an hour outside in the COLD AND RAIN, whilst we waited for them to finish what they was doing to come and give us a key. Once they arrived they was rude with us and acted like it was our fault that the plane was delayed. Before getting shown to our rooms, they demanded we paid city tax which was €21, which they failed to mention on anything when paying for the hotel, so we thought we’d payed for it already. Once we got shown to our rooms it was nothing like the one they showed us on the website, and the bathroom was external (as expected) however, was 2 rooms away from ours, and was extremely small. I am small my self however struggled to feel comfortable whilst showering. We got given 5 different keys, one for the door to the building, one for the gate to the elevator, one for the hotel hall and one for the room and bathroom. It took around 5 minutes with each key trying to open the doors, and once took up to 20 minutes trying to open the door to the hotel hall (seen this has been a previous issue for other people as well !!!). We got told that we would be given free breakfast, however it was just a brioche bun, which is hardly a breakfast. The WiFi was dreadful, didn’t once work on my phone, and worked for around 30 minutes for my boyfriend over our whole stay. The walls are extremely thin and you could hear every single thing being said outside and in the other rooms. We had what seemed to be a fridge in the room, however you needed a key to open it and we wasn’t give one or even told about it. We never saw anyone from the hotel other than when checking in, so If there was any problems like we had, we had to solved them our selves. The location wasn’t too great either, over an hours walk from the Center of Rome, near the Vatican however it is quite rough around the hotel and not many nice places to eat. Absolutely dreadful, one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Avoid with all cost as it is a complete waste of money!

Handy for St. Peter's Square

My wife and I had an overnight stay here, en route to Civitavecchia. It was just right for our needs and only ten minutes walk away from St. Peter's Square. Our room was very clean and well presented. Flaminia the owner was very helpful and was able to give us excellent advice on how to get around. Via Ottaviano is busy shopping street just two minutes away with loads of restaurants/ diners and a metro/ subway station that gets you into Rome central for just one euro 50 cents. We would go back there again.

The apartment was perfect for our expectations! We went 10 minutes to St. Peter. Nearby there is a rental bike shop and several restaurants and supermarkets. We will book again if we get back to Rome!
