Very quiet, the only thing I could hear was a little traffic noise from the freeway. And lots of space in the one-bedroom with a full kitchen and a comfortable place to eat or work. Friendly staff. It's a no-frills decoration environment, but everything looks new. The have a free laundry room and a real fitness center. No breakfast and the convenience store is almost empty, so bring groceries from elsewhere. Great for families.

I used the 800 number to book my reservation. The hotel never did receive it. I had to call the IHG number again. They told me it was fixed. But the front desk lady said it was not. She had to start all over, so I can get in the room. Inside the room was a loud old frig. Changes rooms but that one was loud too. Hard time sleeping. Both rooms had dirty shower heads. Had to avoid shower when I really needed a shower. Very disappointed in my stay.

The hall ways smelled like stale cigarette smoke, the room had a musty smell and it was EXTREMELY wet and humid. The surfaces were wet it was so humid. The AC system needs to be replaced and the carpets need to be replaced. The homeless population in the area is high and I realize the hotel cannot do much about that, but it was nerve racking. The lobby was straight out of 1990 and needs updating. There are not any ice machines and people ran up and down the halls throughout the night.

I checked in to Candlewood Suites near Houston Medical Center last night. I want to say some of the other reviews on here are by far inaccurate. The hotel/room was very clean. I was greeted immediately by smiling faces. Both of the ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. They even went out of their way to accommodate my handicap needs. The beds are very comfy. I do not think I could find another comparable hotel for the price. The rooms have mini kitchens with a stove, dish washer, and all kitchenware needed. The rooms are very comfy. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. I will definitely be staying here 2 nights a week for the next month. Thank you Candlewood suites for making me feel at home while here for medical treatment

The location was not one to walk around. the hotel was ok. it was not pretty, it wasn't nice. it was ok. Expedia had it for $230 a night. I would have died if I paid that much money for this. If you need somewhere to lay your head its ok.
