We were travelling in a group and this hotel is unable to handle public gathering.we stayed on 23rd December and rooms are so worst maintained. They do n't have maintenance team to fix issues. You will only get a soap as amenities. Rooms are so bad but still you have to pay 900 bucks. Terrible hotel

I stayed there for a night. The restaurant was closed they didn't serve room service for lunch or dinner which was a problem. Overall it is ok, but reading the previous reviews and comments I definitely expected it to be much better. You can stay for a night. One good thing is that it is very near to Dwarkhadish temple.

I was in Ahmedabad with a friend for our kids' National Level competition of UCMAS (Mental Arithmetic). We stayed from 18th to 20th August 2017. The best part of our stay was the location of the hotel and ease of travel to anywhere in the city. Staff was polite and cooperative. Rooms were average sized, with all basic amenities including WiFi. Rooms were cleaned everyday.There is some room for cleanliness of the bed-sheets, although the rooms were very clean. Food was simple and fine, although they lack variety (especially in Chinese food). It's on 5-10 mins distance from Sabarmati Ashram. even our competition venue- Eka Club near Kankaria lake was barely 30 mins drive even during rush hours. Hotel Receptionist was very courteous and helpful. She gave us many travel tips too. Some of the auto drivers in Ahmedabad were exceptionally honest and polite. It was a nice trip with no problems at all.Stay at Damji's was good. In general the people of Ahmedabad are helpful and simple. Liked the place a lot.

We booked 4 rooms for 2 nights in this haunted hotel with practically 10-20% occupancy. We did not expect anything great from it since we chose it only for night stay as we were out almost in the days. Bedsheets STINK so as the bathroom. A/c shuts off as and when the management decides to shut it. It then depends on how desperately you plead for it, that it would start back again. This happens even after midnight. If this was not enough, we requested to let us keep 5 bags in their cloak room, to which this lady called Darshana who appeared from nowhere started howling and screaming and daring us of non responsiblity of even a single bag. The female members kept requesting her, but she got all the more rowdy and nasty. Darshana was a nightmare and we cant still get her out of our system. Guys, seriously consider a better optiion than DAMJIS..

I am a female and was staying there on my own. Not once did I feel unsafe in the hotel (or in Ahmedabad). I had a simple room: double bed, tv, shower. It's not a posh place but it is very clean, the staff is polite, respectful and helpful. The restaurant makes delicious clean food and it's quite inexpensive. It is well located on Ashram Road less than a ten minute walk from Sabarmati River, some great cafes and art organizations. No one can enter the living area without being grilled by the desk staff. They speak English and Hindi as well as Gujarati. They accept credit cards. Wifi was fine. The water for the shower is warm straightaway and plentiful. Excellent place for a solo female traveler to stay!
