In a move which underlines its commitment to delivering differentiated travel experiences to its vast and rapidly-growing user base, Cleartrip has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC) of Wayanad. As part of the association, Cleartrip will list all local activities managed by Wayanad DTPC on its platform.

The partnership is aimed at leveraging Cleartrip’s position as India’s leading travel and leisure platform to promote local tourism and to drive higher tourist traffic to the Wayanad region. With the tie-up, Cleartrip has also become the first OTA to partner with Wayanad DTPC.

Established in 1989 under the Department of Tourism, the Government of Kerala, exclusively for promoting tourism in Wayanad, the District Tourism Promotion Council of Wayanad (DTPC) is responsible for all tourism-related activities in the district. It is also responsible for the maintenance and development of various destinations in Wayanad, often working in tandem with the Forest Department, the Hydel Department, and many others.
