We are committed to prioritising animal welfare

Our responsibility as a tourism enabler

As a customer-centric brand, we invest in taking action to make sure that the activities and experiences we sell are consistent with our customers’ expectations of us while ensuring ecological good in general. Cleartrip prides itself on making travel simple for millions of travellers, some of whom have been in conversation with us regarding animal welfare among various other topics.

As responsible enablers of conscientious tourism, we are obligated to prioritise animal welfare. We are making a beginning on this journey:

Cleartrip hereby commits to moving towards a direction of doing away with all animal rides listings on its platform.
Cleartrip will not acquire, publish and market any content which involves animal rides.
In the direction of staying committed to animal welfare, Cleartrip has set up a team to understand the nuances whose primary goal is to ensure that all animal-related activities and experiences we sell, all across India, must follow the above two points.
Cleartrip will invest its efforts to educate and sensitize its sellers on animal welfare policy that we espouse and stand for as a company.
Cleartrip will maintain a robust reporting process for any animal abuse that its consumers witness during their visit to any Zoo, Safari and any experience/activity involving animals. Consumers will be able to reach Cleartrip by writing an email to our animal welfare committee for suitable action.

Reporting channel

If you encounter any act of infringement or compromising practices of animal welfare on any activity listed on Cleartrip such as a potential violation of animal protection laws, the use of weapons, or direct contact being permitted with wild animals, please report this to animalwelfare@cleartrip.com. An optimal action aligned with Cleartrip’s commitment to animal welfare will be taken.

Footnote: In recognition of the fact that many livelihoods depend on relationships with animals, Cleartrip will also continue to work to identify more sustainable alternatives for activity providers that lose traditional opportunities in the face of changing times.
