Cleartrip keeps the success of its pan-India partner outreach program going with 3 hit roadshows in Darjeeling, Guwahati, and Gangtok

  • Roadshow highlights the potential of value-driven bundled deals to couple local activities with rooms to optimize revenues for new hoteliers in and around the North East
  • Gives tourists in the region a comprehensive hyperlocal activity discovery platform to discover new and interesting things to do

Building on the massive success of its countrywide partner outreach program, Cleartrip, India’s leading online travel and leisure activities platform, recently organized three of its roadshow events in Darjeeling (March 20th), Gangtok (March 22nd), and Guwahati (March 28th) in the last month. The roadshow, attended by Cleartrip Hotels and Activities partners from the North East region, helped bring these tourism-oriented businesses together to discuss the massive potential for tourism in the region. The brand also educated participants about its values, products, reach, distribution channels, and processes, in addition to providing a sneak preview of upcoming customer and product features. Cleartrip also apprised its partners of the new categories and collections that help aid the discovery of hotels and activities, and make booking experiences seamless for suppliers.

At the events, Cleartrip provided insights on the company’s strategic initiatives to boost traction for accommodation and activities in the region. It demonstrated how Cleartrip provides a host of exciting activities and places for travelers to discover the many attractions in the region, in order to engage local activities suppliers. The brand additionally showcased many new activities catering to travelers of all age groups, including those offered by the hotels, at the roadshows. The supply partners present at these roadshows were informed of and welcomed the announcement by Cleartrip that from the first week of April, the company’s market managers were being shifted to Siliguri, and Guwahati to make them more accessible to Cleartrip’s partners in the region.

Attendees at all three events agreed that the tourism potential of the region was high and underutilized and that unlocking the region’s potential would require reaching out to consumers through platforms such as Cleartrip. With its natural resources, beauty, and cultural wealth, bundled deals and curated local activities would offer a superior value-driven proposition that would attract more patrons and drive greater uptake of room inventories for hotel owners in the North East. Cleartrip highlighted how this might be the key to bringing greater productivity and prosperity to the tourist ecosystem in the region.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Ankit Rastogi, Vice President for Hotels, Cleartrip, said, “Our primary objective at Cleartrip is to provide superlative value and satisfaction to every stakeholder in the brand value chain, from our business partners to our customers. This is why we have constantly endeavored to move beyond a discounts-led approach and create effective engagement through highly-personalized offerings and cutting-edge features. These events are a part of our strategic goal to further boost the supplier confidence and to help our key business partners understand the benefits that a Cleartrip association can unlock for them. Our three roadshows in the North East were organized with a view of communicating how our partners in the region can maximize the business opportunities available to them by creating more value-based propositions. We will organize more such events in the future to not only boost supplier confidence, but also to help them create sustainable, high-growth businesses.”

Through its roadshows, Cleartrip has been consolidating its leadership in the travel and activities domain by highlighting the role it is playing in strengthening the supplier side of the overall value chain. The Guwahati, Gangtok, and Darjeeling roadshows build on the remarkable response that Cleartrip has garnered for similar events in Kolkata, Udaipur, Pondicherry, Kochi, Goa, Coorg, Nainital, Lonavala, Manali, and Bangalore, and highlights its mission to empower the Indian hotel ecosystem, as well as to create a more robust supplier channel.
