'The Mahalaxmi Temple in Mumbai was constructed on a hill top in the 18th century. The temple’s architecture is fairly traditional, with its tapering shape and mounded shrines, with sweet and flower sellers surrounding it. It was built with a mixture of wood, stone and silver that gives it its pious form. The temple is basically dedicated to three different avatars of Ma Durga and thus sees the most amount of activity around the festive period of September to December. Standing at a height on the busy, commercial street of Tardeo, this temple is one you should definitely visit. '
