'Also called Asafi Imambara, this fort is a massive labyrinth, thus getting the title ‘Bhool Bhulaiya’. Erected in early Nawabian architecture, it is the only building in Lucknow to not have any European influence. The motive behind its construction in 1784 was to provide employment to the poor people who had been suffering due to a drought. Spend a playful time here as the dense maze of alleys, corridors and rooms turn into a childhood game. The inner walls allow sound echoes so if you place your ears against them, you can hear a friend whispering to you from a distance.'
