'Inaugurated in 1975 by Sanjay Gandhi, the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary is located about 10 km from the main city of Jamshedpur. The sanctuary is famous for its rich diversity of flora and fauna, including animals like elephants, sloth bears, barking deer, porcupines, and lots more. It is also a favorite spot for trekkers, with its many nature trails within the park. Another major attraction within the park is a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, which draws a number of devotees, especially during the festival of Mahashivratri. The best time to visit the sanctuary would be between October and June.'
