'Step out of the cultural chaos that is Jaipur into the Jal Mahal, the Water Palace. Practically floating on Sagar Lake, with plants bursting out of the light sandstone walls, this symmetrical palace is a vision to sore eyes. Back in the day, Jal Mahal was used as a shooting range for the king. The lake and its dependent ecosystem had suffered greatly on account of pollutions, but has now undergone extensive restoration and de-silting, once again becoming an oasis of life for the local flora and fauna. The lake is now home to a rejuvenated ecosystem and a renovated palace, along with added attractions like the quaint traditional Rajbut boats. '
