  • Birla Museum - This is home to many historical artifacts some of which even dates back to the 10th century.

  • National Museum of Mankind- Also known as Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, it was established in the year 1985. Spread over 200 acres, the museum is situated on the Shyamala Hills. It is also known as the Tribal Habitat Museum.
  • Upper Lake- In existence since the 11th century, it is the biggest lake in the state. The water of the lake is believed to have powers to cure and help in eliminating skin conditions. The lake is located in the heart of the city.
  • Van Vihar National Park- Located at the heart of the city, it is spread over an area of 445.21 hectares of land. The park is home to many birds and animals. 
  • Taj ul Masajid- It ranks amongst the largest mosques in Asia and covers 23,312 square feet of land. The minarets in the Masjid are 206 feet tall. It was constructed by Sultan Shah Jahan, Bhopal’s Begum but could not get completed during her reign and was completed in the year 1971.
