Places to visit in Ahmadabad

  • Sabarmati Ashram – Gandhi Ashram is located near Vadaj and was once a dwelling abode of Mahatma Gandhi. This ashram was built in the year 1915 on the banks of the river Sabarmati.
  • Juma Masjid – Built in the year 1424 by Sultan Ahmed Shah, the architecture of this monument is quite fabulous with special emphasis on the design and its detailing. It is a really popular place amongst the tourists. This mosque is built of yellow sandstone and has 260 pillars supporting it.

This lake was built in the year 1451 by Sultan Qutub-Ud-Din. The lake has an island in the middle that was once the summer palace and garden of the royalty.
