This boutique hotel is located centrally in the old french town of Pondicherry and it used to be the house of the Mayor. The hotel has a typical French architecture with large, spacious rooms and a beautiful open central courtyard. My stay with my wife was very pleasant and comfortable. The hotel staffs were very efficient and caring. We had our breakfast in the hotel restaurant and the food was really tasty.I would strongly recommend this hotel to all !!!!!

Stayed there for 2 days, faultless place with state of the art french architecture.
Best part was food, and hospitality of the staff. You should take the first floor rooms for better experience
The location is just perfect. Would love to go back there.

(As TripAdvisor doesn't allow only the restaurant to be reviewed, I've sneaked in through the hotel entrance! ;) I came across the restaurant by accident and it was a wonderful surprise - I had the 4-course menu - a bargain at 450Rs! The food was fresh and beautifully presented, and the dal makhani was the best I've ever had. Service was attentive and cheerful - they were concerned that I wasn't able to finish the main dish (enormous on it's own), and came around with words of encouragement ;) The building has been skilfully renovated, keeping the colonial charm and adding original twists (viz. the restrooms!). Highly recommended!

Beautifully landscaped, the restaurant in the property offers delightful French cuisine and great service. Having reached there for lunch in between work, the serenity of the place really helps you relax. The Poulet Roti or the Roasted Chicken was one of the best Ive ever had. Also the French Onion and Herb soup and the Home made Rum and Raisin ice cream were delightfully yum.

We visited this place on Valentine's evening. When we walked in after having a look at the set menu displayed outside (which was of course nothing to write home about - just 2 main course options and a glass of wine - not affordable by any standards), we spoke with one lady at the reception. She spoke with us in detail and at length about the options for dine in that day. After high handedly talking in the air for about 5 minutes, it dawned on the lady that the place was full - and told us that she "BELIEVED" that the restaurant is full. What's more pathetic is that we could see at least 2 couple tables empty, and there were violins being played for "FOREIGN" guests. Predicatably this place smells of colonial racism, pretty bad. Would never go there again or even recommend the same.
