It was gr8 staying at the retreat... This hotel is just at the start of Mount Abu (near the Check Post) and is surrounded with lush green landscaped garden. However,
we did find the hotel is a bit overpriced as compared to the ambience of the rooms and the facilities available. (we visited in June 2010)
The natural surroundings, the perfect garden set-up and being away from the hussle bussle of the main city is a good positive point for the hotel. However, for the not so reclusive people it may not be the perfect location, they had better stay at any hotel in the main Nakki Lake area or around the main bus stand.
Only Bad Experience: Water Scarcity and no power backup... but this is not hotel specific. Mount Abu faces water scarcity and they have to get water supply through tankers. It rained heavily when we were there and electricity went off during the night due to the storm and heavy rains... but the weather was so good that we did not bother about the same.

At first go, I will rate it as a disappointing property for the amount of money charged for room only basis without breakfast (Somewhere around 3500 per night).
If we compare the room and the property with the price we are bound to be disappointed. This is a small cozy 12 room property. BUT BE REST ASSURED ITS WITHOUT RESTAURANT FACILITY. Room service is till 10 pm and only serves limited breakfast items. Though I haven't tried and only had bed tea. IT CAN BE TERMED AS A GUEST HOUSE.
Only good part about this property is the quite greener and well maintained patches. Owner seems to be a good gentleman.
You will not find the bell boys in the uniform as this is not a norm there. Nakki lake is at quite a handful distance and will require some good walking before reaching there. Practically you require vehicle to reach there.
Before entering the room, check for the warm water...In my room there was a luke warm water only and we couldn't take the bath as we have travelled in first week of January 2014.

No intercom in the room. Rooms were quite shabby but garden was cozy and comfy. B/f items were limited but good taste - Aloo Paratha and masala egg omlette. Staff was co-operative. Rates did not justify the quality. Rs. 3,200/- per night. This kind of hotel should not charge more than Rs. 2,000/- even during peak season.

We stayed for 1 night on the recommendation of a localite, but sadly it cannot be called a retreat or resort by any standard. It is like a guest house with decent rooms but no facilities at all. There is no restaurant, the level of cleanliness is not upto the mark. Not worth the rate charged. The only good thing is the garden.

I had been in this hotel for Two days...But when i checked in...was amazed to see such shabby rooms with mosquitoes & insects..when i had paid Rs.3000/- per day i
was expecting gd ambience and environment......This can be only a Business Category hotel....But, the Garden was well maintained which was giving a good feel !
Family used to stay in resorts should not try this One !..
