One of the best hotel in Guwahati according to me because of the Space, Location , Service and most importantly the PRICE. No other 4 star category hotel has such reasonable tariff like Grand Starline. Its got a health club and a swimming pool for room guest and it is only hotel with 24 hrs check out.

Yet again i prefer to stay at Grand starline. stayed for 3 nights in February and 6 nights in March. we all know that the hotel is conveniently located on
GS road with large spacious rooms.
Breakfast is still the same since many years now. no changes at all. inspite of requesting them the breakfast menu needs changes regularly, but they do not understand. some one who stays for more than 2 nights will get bored and annoyed of the same breakfast menu. fruits are always banana and Papaya. ( i think the owner loves these fruits too much)
this time i strongly protested then i was given apple cuts in every breakfast, thanks for that. BUT they really really need to work on their menu.
Room service is as always good with good food. BUT still not able to figure out or got any clear reason on why there is no charging socket near the bed :)
Not able to meet the owner this time too as he was not in town. But i promised myself that will have to meet him during my next visit.

Nowadays whenever I visit to Guwahati I always stay at Hotel Grand Starline... One of the main attraction of staying this hotel is the size of the room. It's big & comfortable. Good room service. accommodating behavior. Only thing to improve is maintenance part. It's a wonderful hotel need little more renovation & innovation. Still I love to stay here. My company is also have tie up with this hotel.

Our room was large, the bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The staff was adequate, but not especially friendly, and the level of English was poor, or perhaps they just didn't understand our American accents. It is far from the airport. The car the hotel staff arranged for us for the trip to the airport seemed rather expensive.

i had booked suite room for 3 ppl in this hotel... though d room was big but had a very bad smell through out.for d xtra person only a matress was provided which is unacceptable.i wud not recomend it.

My stay in Grand Starline during 25th and 26th Feb,13 was for Business purpose. The hotel is located a bit far from the main commercial base. The stay was good. Rooms are big and spacious but the washroom door does not close as the latch is defective. The elevator is slow and takes all the patience in the world to wait for it to finally arrive. The restaurant is ok but lacks courtesy. Napkins are not available (cloth napkins) and during complimentary breakfast the single cloth napkin on the table once used does not get replenished by a fresh one. Thus the hotel lacks maintenance and if all these are looked into, maybe the hotel will freshen up.

The hotel is in central location at GS Road. Spacious Rooms. Bathroom amenities - not so good, expected some quality accessories. TV is small in the room I stayed. Tea and coffee maker is there. Food is good and moderate in prices. Main problem is - there is no Wifi in room. service is prompt. Breakfast is on alacarte as pax were less.

Hotel needs major renovation of the rooms, front office people needs to have more information and be helpful. most of the time they don't have any answer. food quality needs to be improved a bit and add up more items...
