VALUE FOR MONEY HOTEL IN THE TIAN HO DISTRICT

This hotel is 45 minutes’ drive from the Guangzhou International airport without any traffic jam. It is located in the Tian He District and 2 to 3 Km away from Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Centre and Pazhou International Exhibition Centre. However, travel by car takes 30 minutes to 40 minutes from the hotel to these Exhibition Centres in the morning due to morning peak hour traffic. Hotel does provide free shuttle bus to the Exhibition centre in the morning and return to the hotel in the evening. It is a few minutes’ walk to Keyun Lu station. It is an old hotel but renovated. Hotel entrance for car is small but parking is free for hotel guests. My check-in was slow as the front desk staff did not serve based on first come first serve. They served who approached them directly. Perhaps, this is their culture. Hotel’s main guests were local. I hardly saw any western guests in this hotel. My room at 10th floor was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable. Its room air-con temperate could be set higher than 25 degree C but the room temp was always not higher than 24 degree C. Basic toiletries were provided free in the room daily. It has free WIFI in the lobby and in the room for hotel guests. WiFI speed is excellent. It does not have a swimming pool nor fitness centre in the main building. The restaurant at 6th floor served a good variety of breakfast. Quality was good.

Generally Fancy

The hotel name in English is Yueda Financial City International Hotel. I think the designers worked really hard to make the hotel look fancy. This is everything from the entrance drive, the lobby, the room, furniture and the bathroom. My room was plenty large, with an outer room (solon) and inner bedroom with curved windows. Even the "shower/tub room" felt big. Make sure you ask about how to access WiFi before you go to your room (or you can call). I could not find instructions in the room, and the codes are not obvious. Also, I had to learn how to use the lighting and the temperature controls in the room (in Chinese, but OK once I did). The breakfast buffet was OK. Not huge. Coffee was not remarkable. I needed an early departure, so they largely let me pay the evening before (but do not release the deposit until you depart). This was nice. I do wish they had a gym. I am sure it would have been grand!

Comfortable stay at Guangzhou

Yueda international hotel is a great stay option if you are wanting to Visit the Canton Fair . It’s just a 10 min drive to the fair without traffic and the hotel makes arrangement to drop and pick you at the designated bus stop. The rooms are huge and very elegantly done up . The breakfast spread is nice too must mainly the local cuisine which I thoroughly enjoyed. The chinese restaurant is also good but the taste is very typical. The hotel has a huge spa and it’s a experience to be there . The only missing things are the swimming pool and the shops inside the hotel .i would recommend this hotel for the business traveller .

Wonderful

I stayed at this hotel during the Canton Fair in April. I had a wonderful experience. The staff is polite and was able to check us in early at around 10am. The rooms are beautiful and clean, the bathrooms are very clean as well. There is a restaurant that serves complimentary breakfast in the morning. The same restaurant also has dinner service. There is also a large room service menu with a good variety. The food tasted great. We stayed there two separate times over a week period and we were able to leave some of our luggage with the concierge while we went to Hong Kong for the weekend. The hotel is very close to the Keyun Lu station on line 5 of the metro, just a few minutes walk to the station. If you're there for the Canton Fair, the hotel also provides buses that leave every 15 minutes or so, from about 8:30-9:30am. But if you miss that you can take the metro: go to Keyun Lu station, take line 5 one stop to Chebei South, take line 4 one stop to Wanshengwei, take line 8 one stop to Pazhou, and you're there. Really a great hotel for a great price. The only thing I didn't like is that the "air conditioning" isn't really air conditioning, it's still very humid inside the hotel and all rooms. Other than that, a very good experience. I highly recommend this hotel.

Grand but Eye Soaring Ambiance

I have been to China several times specially in the Guandong province and every time I try a different hotel either in Guangzhou or in Foshan City. Either it is a global or local chain. The global chain hotels have their international flavour as usual but if they are local brand then the whole ambience and service may dramatically vary from the expectations. Yueda International Hotel, a well placed property, was not an exception being the local one. The overdone interior may strike the guests who love simplicity. It's too imperialistic in cliche manner and the marble works all over pierce the eye. The service at reception is not that quick and not welcoming too. They lack human resource to support guest at check in and check out. It seems that the hotel lacks guests through its barrenness but when you check in a bit early they may keep waiting till actual check in time. Same had happen in my case. The room interiors are similarly overdone unnecessarily with out of fashion golden floral motifs. One must be careful using the mini bar tea and coffee. They charge for these. Restaurant foods are too local and may not fit to international tastes. Guess it is not a perfect choice for the international guests as long it's services and ambiences are concerned.
