Absolutely beautiful experience on the Achankovilar boat with Xandari. Very serene views of the Kerala waters and lovely stay. Thank you to the team (Captains Cijo and Arul and Chef Mahesh) - they took exceptional care of us and tailored to all needs, food was amazing and fresh. Thank you. Highly recommend to all to do the cruise and overnight stay. A stay like no other.

Solid experience. Enjoyed talking with the owner of the resort, who kindly gave us a detailed explanation of the production of a local drink. Rooms were nice, and the owners were quite helpful with organising our journey given we had quite a few constraints. As a moving boat, hot water and AC were understandable not consistently available, although could be somewhat made available on request.

We visited with family and the captain pradip show us the all places Mr. Mahesh our cook on boat makes so delicious food veg and non veg both And Venu assist us everywhere the staff and owner are too good The rooms are very well maintain and clean Upper dack also very good.

Spending a day and a night on the houseboat was a beautiful experience. Definitely add it to your itinerary. Riverscapes ticked every box. I loved sitting on the upper deck watching the activity on the river from houseboats to small punts with local people fishing or just crossing from one side to the other. On the banks people walking in their best clothes to celebrate Onam. Girls in colourful and sparkling saris stopping to photograph each other by flowering trees. Whole families going places. People using the river to wash pans or clothes. Children having fun in the water. The food on board was perfect. Lots of Kerala dishes and fruit. We had a good chef. We stopped to buy fresh crab which the chef served for dinner. My favourite dishes were the lentil Dahl and the delicious rice pudding. We ate on deck. It was lovely. The rooms were comfy, clean with good beds and showers. There are big viewing windows. There was hot water if you wanted it. The crew were happy, attentive and wanted us to really enjoy the experience. Mid afternoon we went on a smaller boat for a short ride through the canals under low bridges. Again there was much to see including the paddy fields. The staff in the office were very helpful. Vinooob and Honey sorted out our booking. Vinoob showed me the video of the company celebrating Onam. There was food on the banana leaf, games and hilarious dressing up as Mahabali,the king, who liked to hunt with men dressed as prancing tigers. It was a relaxing and indulgent time.

We were on the boat for 2 nights and we had the most magical time!! The nature is stunning and so calming. The staff was absolutely wonderful! The chef is so talented, we had delicious food for 48 hours straight. We will always be greatful to the people of Xandari! Would recommend to anyone :)
