I strongly recommend this experiece. Views are beautifull and the staff very profetional. In addition, I am celiac and they coocked everything for us gluten free. They had aknowledge about this diet (which is very weard in that area) and they adabted all meals.

This experience was one of the highlights of our month long trip to India - not just because of the beautiful surroundings, but because of our outstanding crew - Sony, Sujith and Sasi. From the moment we stepped on board we were looked after like royalty. Nothing was too much trouble. Sony and Sasi navigated the backwaters and gave us an excellent commentary of the extraordinary bird life and took us to the amazing St. Mary's Basilica and the local area around it. A huge shout out to our chef Sujith. The food was stunning and the dishes were different at each meal. When he noticed that I am not good with chilli, he made a separate non spicy biryani for me. He spent hours preparing our food to an incredibly high standard. We had a one bedroom houseboat. The bed was really comfy and the shower room was fine. The seating area further forward was super and the dining room was great. We would have been quite happy to float around in this boat for a week or more.

This overnight stay on the Xandari houseboat was the perfect end to our trip to India. Only sorry it wasn’t longer; next time! The boat was so comfortable and the staff onboard who looked after us were 100% professional and so kind. Had the best sleep on a very comfortable bed and bathroom/shower facilities very efficient considering being on a boat. 100% recommend this company. Special thanks to our crew Satheesh, Rejeesh and Vennu. We will be back!

We were recommended this rice barge experience by our travel agent, and I have to say that it exceeded any expectations we had. We got to the mooring station at around 12.30pm, and our bags were brought on board. These things are luxurious: the bedroom was of good hotel standard and air conditioned. We had an upper deck, and spent most of our time there just loving the views during the sail. However, the big surprise was the three meals we ate on board: all were absolutely splendid and plentiful. You will not starve! Take your own wine/beer on board. The crew of three were just wonderful: they were helpful, kept out of the way to lt us enjoy the experience, but were always there if you needed anything. I can't speak highly enough of them! This was the highlight of our three weeks in Southern India - it should be an essential part of any tour. Highly recommended.
