We had an amazing experience staying at Windervale for 1 night on 19 th January Easy to access from the main road , wonderful location ,well landscaped and excellent views of the hills and the green tea plantations . Lots of activity options to keep children busy . It was a bit cold and windy , so didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and pretty from outside . We liked the food ( a la carte ) and buffet breakfast . Overall we were happy with our stay and the staff looked after us well We wish we could have stayed a day or 2 more .

A group of us friends dropped in for lunch during our stay in Vagamon. Pretty cozy restaurant. Ordered chatti choru, Paratha and some Chinese. The naadan food was good. But the Chinese dishes were a disappointment. We told them and they said it is because they don't use artificial colours and MSG. But those both are the essence of Chinese cooking and if used moderately it is fine. Service was very good and all in all value for money.

The resort is managed and run by very efficient, helpful and polite staff. The entire property and the rooms are very well appointed and maintained. The restaurant serves delectable food which is reasonably priced. Location wise also it's great. The view from our room was breathtaking. All in all it was a fantastic holiday for us. And last but not the least the hospitality extended to us was heartwarming. Thank you all @WinterValeGreen Stay for a memorable experience!!

Excellent resort in Vagamon

I've searched & compared a lot of resorts in and around Vagamon and selected Winter Vale Green Stay. Stayed one night there in a standard room and got much cheaper rate through Agoda. We came there in a late afternoon and little bit surprised with the number of vehicles in the parking lot, and learned from the staff that a lot of outside customers are also coming there just to have lunch, so no need to mention separately about their food quality. The resort is opposite to the Kurisumala entry road, approx. 500 meter from the Erattupetta-Vagamaon main road. Approach road to the resort from the main road is very narrow, but well tarred. You should be careful on the curves because the road is too narrow. Once you reach the resort, then you are entering to a green lush world spread over 30 acres of plantations, a huge real size elephant sculpture will welcome you in the parking. Extremely friendly staff will welcome you in a traditional Kerala style with Chandana kuri (Sandal wood paste applied on the fore head) and with a ginger tea. Reception staffs were very friendly and courteous and gave us a detailed description about the resort. The standard room on the first floor (room no. H-2, above the recreational area) seems little bit old, but huge in size with a balcony and nice external view. They will serve complimentary tea with a snack at a place near the restaurant. Dinner was very tasty and the restaurant staff also very friendly. Complimentary breakfast is fair enough, with more South Indian dishes. Upon check out, they gave us a small present (car perfume), which is appreciated. I strongly recommend this resort to my fellow travelers. A few suggestions to the resort management :- 1. Back side of the standard room (we stayed in H-2), seems abandoned with a dry feeling. I am not sure whether this land also belongs to the resort or not. If yes, a small garden in that area will enhance the look, please try to add some plants there. If that area is not belonging to the resort, still you could make a hanging garden behind the standard rooms. 2. Standard room looks little bit old, please re-paint it, also the A/c and the toilet exhaust fan are making too much sound. 3. Since the resort is spread over 30+ acres of land and the roads are not level, it will be better to have electric buggy golf cars for the usage of guests for easy commutation.

It was an amazing experience. The view was the best. In the resort itself there is every recreation like swimming pool, rain dance, game room and an excellent view point area. Didn’t feel the need to go outside for sightseeing even. Lot of walking area. The rooms were great and the facilities were the best. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall a must stay if visiting vagamon.
