Gorgeous place to arrive with one's family. The restaurant is indeed an elegant setup for a magical time. The place sent off a pleasant aura of comfort and thrill. Be it a staff from the front office, house keeping or the restaurant, each one was truly hospitable to their limits. Our stay was made relaxing and unbelievable by the relentless assistance of the staff here, whom we would really wish to thank. Staff I would like to recommend and meet Chef Suresh Chef Deepak Gaurav Praveen Surely we will visit again,,,🥰

Always enjoy my stay at this place whatever the occasion is, whether I am travelling for business or for leisure. Lovely location right on Race Course road, short distance from the center as well as from the airport. The staff make it very special for our stay. Bimal from housekeeping with a smile on his face, always takes special care to keep our room neat, clean and stocked up. Deepak always made us feel special at the dining table and took care of the minutest of details of our culinary cravings. Special mention to Bijit, not only for his impeccable service but also for the sweetest behaviour at the dining area. Sinheri also took good care of us at the dining hall. Shiva is an excellent driver with great local knowledge, and took good care of us on our sightseeing trip to Ooty. Overall a great stay and we are looking forward to coming back soon.

Very poor service by Staff and they are rude. We have ended up requesting multiple times to get basic things like towels, dental kit etc in the room . Also there is no way to call house keeping directly and you have to request everything via reception. Finally they sent me the things only after I told them that you can bill for dental kit, towels etc. Overall Pathetic experience from welcome ITC

Food, ambience and service was great. Good job- Dora and Deepak. A good place to visit with kids for brunch. Fresh food served with passion was a good experience. Had a relaxed, fun filled lunch time with friends. More than glad to visit many more time.

Three of us spent one night at an executive suite in the Welcomhotel Coimbatore. 1. Let’s begin with the biggest complaint first. Halfway through a morning shower, the hot water simply stopped flowing both from the tap at the washbasin and from the showers too. Took about 15 minutes to resolve so I finished my bath with cold water which isn’t a big deal in a Kovai summer. But this is not something you want to happen at this price point, or, indeed, at a price point half as high as this. More so when you’re occupying an executive suite. Extremely disappointing. 2. There was some confusion at checkout. Our reservation included all 3 meals. And we had signed for one of those meals, and the restaurant had posted it as a bill payable. Reception took a few minutes to sort that out. 3. The lobby almost doesn’t exist. Once you pass through the doors, you are in what can at best be described as a passage facing the reception. This is well-lit, and I do like the aesthetics, but it’s just surprisingly small. Not complaining about this though; I was just amused. 4. We had an a la carte lunch and a buffet dinner. The quality of the food is, overall, good, as you would expect of the ITC group. The food at their Fortune hotels is often very good too. The buffet seemed to play to the crowd a little – there was a little too much tempering, it was a little too strong in its approach. But still, that is nitpicking. A la carte was pretty good. The staff are patient at taking orders and orders are taken seriously. But their knowledge of the menu isn’t sufficient. They have a dish called “ritu ki sabzi” or something of that sort which translates into “seasonal vegetables.” When we asked what the vegetables were this season, the best the waitress could do was to say “carrot” twice. The dish too was something like that: Nothing particularly seasonal about the vegetables. 5. We had an early breakfast. The buffet wasn’t quite ready yet. Nevertheless, the spread on the buffet is satisfactory but not as wide as you would expect. The quality of the food is excellent. The service was mediocre: I ordered a masala dosa which didn’t show up for 10 minutes. On inquiring about it again, the waitress (a different person) thought I was placing a fresh order and informed me that it would take about 10 minutes, a point which was never brought to my notice when I first ordered it. So I ordered a plain dosa instead. 6. Overall, the aesthetics of the hotel are nice. The restaurant, however, is dimmer than I’d like. At dinnertime, there was live music in the restaurant. I suspect that the hotel didn’t think its guests had personalities, because the loud volume made conversation extremely inconvenient. The rhythm was good (because it was essentially a metronome type of thing), the singer might have had some relationship with melody at some point in some life, but his accent made it (un)clear to us that nobody knew what the words of the songs were. 7. The room is well appointed. Once again, the aesthetics are impressive. The bathroom is fancy enough for this price point, and, refreshingly, it isn’t doing too much and hasn’t (as many toilets do these days) departed entirely from the path of common sense and reason in the pursuit of some arbitrary Western aesthetic showmanship entirely divorced from utility. The chair at the work-desk is remarkably comfortable, there is enough table space, enough space in general to keep things, and the lighting is good too. I don’t have anything negative to say about the room. 8. Service is good, but could have been better. I would have liked to see a little more initiative and a little more situational awareness. One chef or sous chef or somebody of that sort came to us with the sole intention of telling us to give him good feedback. Of course, the best way not to receive good feedback is to ask for it and therefore completely skew the system and really defeat its purpose so that the feedback is never truly honest. This is, in my view, unforgivable. He then artificially and somewhat poorly made fake-conversation, and then offered us ice cream on the house (which we had ordered) unaware that our room’s rate included the meal too. And he hung around for a little too long. Overall, some more maturity in the staff (better training maybe?) will shift things up a notch.
