We stayed at Umaid Bhavan Palace with my family recently in Oct to celebrate my wedding anniversary. The hospitality and service from Taj personnel was prompt and welcoming. The palace is stunning and the historical suite where we stayed was beautiful. Special shoutout to Mr. Sikander, Ms Parkee, Ms Manisha, Mr Sadique, Mr. Rudresh and ever smiling Bhom Singhji for their outstanding service and helpful attitude. Wonderful experience at Umaid Bhawan Palace

I have just had the most wonderful 3-day stay at Umaid Bhawan - my 3rd and best visit. It just keeps getting better. The hotel and rooms have always been stunning, but the kindness and the hospitality of the staff was on a different level this time. Sikander Singh Bhati was so lovely and welcoming, including taking me in a personal tour of the hotel and the museum. He was always around, and was especially helpful to my parents, who have mobility issues. He frequently escorted them to their room from the dining room, to help with stairs and doors. In the dining room, Rudresh really made us feel at home, chef Shobhit provided excellent food and checked in to see if we were happy with the level of spicyness, and Aman was such an attentive server. I can’t give enough praise to the entire staff of this hotel and am already planning my next trip!

Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel at Jodhpur, no doubt, is a wonderful 5 star plus hotel and amongst the best in the world ! It was also rated the world’s no 1 hotel a couple of years ago, twice. Beautiful building, lovely, architecture and great interiors ! However, all these accolades for the Hotel are most certainly because of the warm, personalised , pro active services its staff gives You, all during the day and with a smile ! Pakhee is a warm girl, always cheerful and smiling and ever ready to provide services irrespective of the time of the day. Along with Pakhee, Malvika, Sikander are others who are fantastic in the front office / reception. Bhim Singh, Madhav are formidable at the front of the hotel who are examples of the old grandeur and pomp of the Maharaj times and are ultra polite and smart welcoming guests . Karan, the most decorated restaurant employee is truly mobile and seems to have wheels serving effectively and fast and like him Narendra, Jabbar Singh, Rudresh, All, serve with a smile and taking personal interest in what the guests should eat. Shobhit Mathur the Chef himself take interest what guests eat and follows up with them for the taste dishes out ! This is all very impressive and makes the guest completely at home in a very professional environment , which otherwise is very daunting for guest. It is these people who enhance the Hotels reputation to be the best in service. Meena Bishnoi herself leads by example - she is the driver. These employees are the capital of the hotel and Hope it takes care of them to keep raising its own standard . God Bless ! I wish the Hotel and All at the Taj Family, well! What an amazing experience we had staying at this beautiful hotel. We were treated so well and the upgrade to a suite was such a lovely thoughtful thing to do (my husband was recovering from an accident and has a walking cane and the upgrade meant easier mobility). The welcome once we got out of the taxi was again excellent and such a surprise. I read other reviews where they said they felt like royalty and this is most true. We had already stayed at a different hotel and explored the sites of Jodhpur as we really wanted to make the most of our stay at the Umaid Bhawan Palace and enjoy every moment. We were well looked after by Sikander (please excuse my spelling if this is incorrect) who gave us a private tour of the museum and walked us around the gardens and was there always if we needed anything. He really was full of information and told us all the history of this wonderful palace. Such a credit to Umaid Bhawan. We have been so blessed to have stayed in quite a few Taj properties but this has by far been the best experience and hotel we have ever had the pleasure of staying in (and not just in India). Thank you to all at Umaid Bhawan for leaving us with these most special memories that we now have in our lives.
