Amazing experience! Staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 2 days and we coincidentally stayed during the major Padnabhswamy temple festival Day, that made the stay even more amazing because the resort was Full. That gave us opportunity to explore Full Dinner and Brekfast buffets during our entire stay.

The best part of the stay was the fantastic staff, caring, warm , humble and polite. The Housekeeping manager Mr. Anandkumar was very responsive. The restaurant manager Mr. Prashant was also humble and responsive. The pool was good, nice and yummy. Must go and stay.

Property: Uday Samudra is a large and beautifully located property right by the beach in Kovalam. We visited during the Christmas holiday season, and although the property was fully booked, it was managed well — the common areas never felt overcrowded. The resort has direct beach access, and the beach is clean and well-maintained, offering a great spot to unwind. However, it’s worth noting that they do not provide beach chairs or towels, which would have made the experience even better. The property also features multiple swimming pools, which helps distribute the crowd and makes it easier to enjoy a relaxed swim even during peak season. One limitation we noticed was limited parking space inside the property — something to consider if you’re driving in. For those interested in sightseeing, the Ananthapadmanabha Swamy Temple is just 15 minutes away by car, making it a convenient cultural stop. Room – Pool View: We stayed in a Pool View Room on the ground floor, and it was a lovely experience. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with a clean and modern bathroom. The balcony opened directly to the pool, which made it very convenient and added a nice resort vibe to our stay. Food: The restaurant did get quite busy, especially during breakfast and dinner, but that’s expected during the holiday rush. The buffet spread was good, with a decent variety and the food quality was consistently satisfying. Other Notes: While the property seems family-friendly, we didn’t notice much in terms of kids’ activities, so that might be worth checking in advance if you’re travelling with younger children.
