Watch out this is a scam!!!!! We booked a private room in this place via Agoda. Once we arrived late at night, the security guy told us that they are sold out and this is a hostel... No proviste rooms available. We had to manage another accomodation in the middle of the night in Mombai due to this definitine scam!!! We came back in the morning and came up same guy, no reception staff, no manager to talk to.. The neighbours told us there's only women dorm since 3 years.... its unacceptable, stare away fron this place!!!!!!!!

We’ve booked that place on AGODA website( paid in advance), we wanted to stay there because place was recommended on LonleyPlanet. When we arrived and the security guy told us that there’s no room available for us and we need to contact Agoda for refund. Even when we showed him booking confirmation he didn’t let us in. Apparently manager showing up between 12:00-16:00. We had to book room in different place what was a big challenge in the middle of the night. Don’t book this place!!!! We are also sending an email to Lonley Planet to take that place down from their „India” guide.

Very centrally located in Fort, close to CST (VT) train station, museums and Gateway of India (among others). Very helpful staff and excellent value for money. The top floor (currently under renovation) looks like it will be especially delightful when finished with some more luxurious rooms than those below and a common area.

The hotel is a hidden gem and maybe the Sethi family that runs it want to keep it that way. We are a family of 4 with 2 kids 1 and 10. There are many good things about this cozy abode in Fort. I'll enlist the 3 most important things from a family perspective. 1. Most friendly and helpful staff. There is a reason it's on top and pic attached with my big shopping luggage. The folks are unpretentious and help you maximum with utter promptness . Even thought there is no complementary breakfast but you can get food made or ordered from outside round the clock. They went above and beyond and got my fav shoe repaired in frenzy. The attached kitchen is big bonus and they let you cook as well. I could get baby food done easy . 2. Honest pricing policy and accommodating owner. I had to extend my stay for half a day and was allowed to continue in same room . They kept looking for opportunities for 3 days to shift things around to make it happen . 3. Perfect location. You are at walking distance from the most famous things I south Mumbai and taxi at meter is available for short trips to marine drive, cst markets, gateway and many places. The traffic worry is least here since it took at max 30 mins for most destinations in 15 km radius. Apart from this the hotel gives you the old world charm from the neighborhood which is very safe for anyone. I can rate this place as best in Mumbai even though it's mostly offices and markets nearby. The pics attached are some of the gems I discovered. Crawford market and sister markets are to die for. Some restaurants like cafe universal is less crowded than Leopold and mondega but has same mystique charm and amazing food and drinks. Library, mint and famous old buildings are next door so a great tour for school kids. Breakfast options other than typical badapav and idli dosa are ample. I cherished the Naaz Kerela style appam most . Am sure the bachelors are single stay people would find it more attractive given the perfect bunk bed setup and readymade fridge and o hand tourist desk.
