We turned up to be met with a hotel which was under renovation. As soon as we sat down to book in we were told there was no spa, no pool and no bar! This should have been disclosed to us before we arrived but had not, but of course the male checking us in said it had. We were shown to the elevator and that’s where we were left, we had to find our room and when we did we couldn’t get into it. No member of staff in any of the other 5* hotels in India have left us at the elevator and they have always shown us to our room and asked if it’s to our satisfaction. The room was NOT to our satisfaction at all! The room was dirty, the carpet was dirty and the duvet and sheets had stains on them. We spent at total of 8 hours there before checking out after managing to find another 5* hotel at a much lower cost then the Raintree which had all the areas of the hotel open. This is our only time in Chennai and unfortunately this hotel didn’t set a very good first impression. If we do happen to come again this hotel won’t be one we will ever stay in or recommend!

I had a terrible experience from front office executive Mr Sriram and maintenance engineer whose name was not disclosed to me. I encountered a horrible experience in charging my electric car . They don’t know the meaning of trickle charger and pulled it off my car unceremoniously

Food and service excellent across the board. Staff was pleasant and quick to respond to any and all requests. All food was made well, and appropriate portion sizes per item were accurately recommended for our party of 8. Would highly recommend to anyone.

This was my first time in Chennai and I am glad I picked Raintree for my stay. The rooms were hygienic and service was outstanding. Special mention for Chef Daisy, who put together an awesome menu for the breakfast buffet. We were thrilled with the variety of options and the service once again was amazing.

This was my second time at Raintree, Annasalai. The rooms were clean and hygenic. The breakfast was amazing. The staffs were really friendly and i must mention Mr Lathish who was very professional and polite. Overall the stay was comfortable and excellent.
