Modern hotel in a good location near to the railway station and a short walk to the River Torrens. The Botanical Garden is around 30mins walk or a few mins on the free regular trams. Also near the Adelaide Oval cricket ground and stadium. Good sized room with all required facilities Very helpful and knowledgeable reception staff. Very good buffet breakfast Enjoyed one dinner (excellent duck) at the hotel but found the loud live music by guitarist and singer irritating. Nice bar area If returning to Adelaide we would definitely consider staying here again.

A lovely hotel that is clearly well-thought of generally since the Australian cricket team were staying whilst we were there!. Very convenient for all the city has to offer and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. The room was great and the facilities excellent. The restaurant was not cheap and tended to be very noisy, so we only ate there once during our stay.

Great hotel in a perfect location. Look at the North Terrace Rooms as the view is worth it. The basic rooms are the nice but they are overlooking an alley. We had booked a basic room and when I asked for an upgrade Brook was very helpful. So pleased we changed into a suite. The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and so helpful. We had dinner at Lume one night and the food was beautiful. We stayed for 3 nights and couldn't fault anything at all. We had a great time and we will definitely be back.

I’ve just spent three nights at the hotel with my teenage son - our first trip to Adelaide and a fun way to finish off the school summer holidays. I couldn’t speak any more highly of the Playford, it was a perfect experience from start to finish. All the staff - from the front desk, to the wait staff at breakfast and dinner, to housekeeping - were exceptionally welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Our twin room on the 6th floor was spacious and very clean, great to have a separate bath and shower, and we loved the sunset views over the city. The room was quiet, easy to keep the temperature right, and had plenty of storage space. Nice selection of drinks and snacks in the minibar, and a great selection of channels on the tv. We visited the pool and spa three times and it was lovely - nice and quiet and clean. There was a good selection for breakfast, so we ate at the hotel all three mornings. We had dinner in the hotel one night and that was also excellent. For first time visitors, the hotel is in a brilliant location - easy for trains, trams, walking or cabs. We spent a lot of time just strolling along the river paths, which are less than five minutes away. Thanks to all the team for a wonderful experience, and for making us feel so welcome at the hotel! We hope to make it up again from Tassie very soon.
