The Leela Mumbai was an amazing experience, we came twice whilst passing through and it was 5-10 mins away from the Bombay airport in Mumbai. Our waiter for the both times was the assistant restaurant manager, Ravindra Vaze. The service at breakfast was unmatched and the cleanliness of the room was amazing. The rooms were very nice and they were luxurious. They also had a variety of pillows in the pillow menu.

Much more than an airport hotel

We had planned to stay for one night at the start of March as a stopover between flights, but then unexpectedly stayed for a week when our flights were cancelled at the last minute. The location is, obviously, perfect for Mumbai airport (a very short transfer to Terminal 2). However, this is much more than an airport hotel! I plan to stay here whenever I fly through Mumbai in the future. The Leela Mumbai is absolutely everything you could want of a 5 star business 'resort' hotel, and its surprisingly good value. The standard rooms are small but of a very high standard, and the breakfasts are outstanding. The pool and surrounding area were excellent and were not too heavily used (we could always find a shady space with a lounger). The outdoor bar area and lounge were similarly very pleasant. The level of service was generally outstanding, from the pool attendants to the concierge service. A special thank you to housekeeping (Anil), and especially Sachin on the front desk who helped with our endless extensions (and one cancellation) as we sought to get a flight home! My only complaint is that, while the rooms are great value, the bar was priced more in line with a hotel in London or Paris than Mumbai.
