We stayed at Lalit Mumbai for 2 nights after a cruise, location was very close to the airport, there didn't appear to be much in the way of shops or restaurants nearby, but hotel restaurant/bar had good choices and were accommodating to those of us with more Western tastes (me, OH loved the food) Hotel is big! There was a good pool /area, but we never used it during our short stay. Our room was a standard double, bed was big. Several bottles of water were provided and replenished the next day. Bathroom/shower were adequate but old. A notice said they recycled water for the toilet, I've not had experience of this before, but understand that water is precious, still a bit of a shock when I flushed the toilet in the evening! There was a power cut when we were at breakfast, with no idea when power would be restored, we decided to walk via the fire exit, to our 2nd floor room. It was a few hours before it was completely restored, I was surprised there was no battery back up, as it seemed this happened occasionally and without warning. I was in our room, the power kept coming back and going again. At one point, housekeeping were in the room when the power came back and there was what must have been a power surge, as one of our plugs, which had been charging one of our gadgets, sort of exploded, with part of the plug flying off. It was a very loud noise! Fortunately, Tanmayi, from housekeeping, was still in the room, she called someone from maintenance straight away, who got it sorted quickly. Thank you to Tanmayi. Ubers were available and reasonably priced, we didn't wait too long when we ordered one to take us to Phoenix Marketcity mall and again when we ordered one to take us back to the hotel. There were many shops, restaurants and fast food outlets at the mall. There was also a large supermarket if you wanted to get snacks or essentials.
